We read the reviews and came in with high expectations. We were not disappointed. From the friendly greeting and helpful tips on the menu, to the cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor, and finally the amazing food, we had a wonderful time! If you want fresh food and a great experience you need to give this place a try.
We have been coming here for years. They have, by far, the best, freshest fish in the entire area. You can pay much more, or go to someplace fancy, or you can have the best at Jim’s restaurant. My favorite is the macadamia crusted halibut.. it is to die for. Service is family owned superb.
My wife and I love this place. The food, service and music are great. The clam chowder soup is the best. I really love the “Honey Pecan Crusted Salmon”. Even the tartar sauce is the best around. Plus, the prices are very reasonable.
Great place, cozy decor, feel like you are in a small fishing town, food is great. Been taking my kids here for 20 years for clam chowder and bread....Also, have had several types of the fish and were fresh and well cooked. Family owned quick service too!
The servers and owners were so friendly I couldn’t believe I was still in California. Everything is homemade, and delicious. A ton of food for the price, and it was all very very good. Nice homey atmosphere. Will absolutely be going here again, can’t recommend enough.
The best fish restaurant in Huntington Beach. Hands down. Been going here for years. Family owned and serves their patrons! What a menu! And large portions. Best clam chowder on the planet. Can't say enough about "Catch of the Day"!
Decent little family run place that has been here for years, husband and wife team. The fish is always fresh and we'll prepared. No points for decor, but I'm more interested in what's on my plate versus what is on the walls, and the food is good here.
Family owned, very small place, food is absolutely delicious!!! The only thing I can recommend is that they hire a waitress because right now it's is the husband and wife and sometimes you have a really long wait. Patients and time is something you need when eating here! Other than that I cannot complain it is very, very good and their food is very fresh you couldn't ask for a better place! It looks like a little hole in the wall,sitting in a strip mall and if you can find it then you will love it!!! It's not something the tourists are going to find but if they ever do, watch out, this place will never have an empty seat and locals....look out! Thanks for the food! It was fantabulous!!! However, you really could use some help!!!😲
Always enjoy this place, very friendly owner and good fresh fish. Yummy clam chowder. I like the private style booths, but they have tables too. Vintage nautical theme decor.
Small family owned restaurant with fresh seafood and more. Great service, great food! Very reasonably priced also. I don’t normally write reviews but Catch of the Day was just so extraordinary that I had to spread the word. My family absolutely loved it.
