Sonic Drive-in

Online ordering always down and all of a sudden they can no longer honor happy hour prices unless you order online…. If it’s down, there is no option. It is interesting to me that they have honored half price in the past. In fact, the lady working the window offered it too me many months ago. This new crew says they don’t do that and have never done that. 🙈😫😞

I had to take the time out of my day to give a huge shout out to Sky at Huffman Sonic. This place was doomed about a year ago and I dreaded coming here. For the last few months the employees have been so kind and fast, ALWAYS apologizing for the wait which they do not have to, I get it! But I especially love my carhop Sky, he is fast, and seriously the sweetest every time he brings me my stuff. On top of that, I never have cash to tip but yet he doesn’t even care almost. He’s still happy every time. Sky, if you read this, I promise you’ll get a great tip from me the day I have cash! Thanks for helping out our local sonic!

I mean, what's there to say, it's Sonic. The employees were super friendly, which isn't always the case. The woman at the window reviewed my order with me to make sure everything was correct, told me her name, that she would be getting my food together. Clearly she's new lol the service wasn't warp speed by any means. I got 2 number 1's which is just a cheeseburger and fries or tots, and a kid's meal with an order of cheddar peppers. They hand me the first bag, the woman says to have a nice day, and I sit there for a sec. I realize they haven't given me the kid's meal. So I sit and wait until the other woman realizes I'm still there. She gets me the kid's meal after I tell her it's missing and makes a joke about "making sure I was paying attention, ha, just kidding". She was sweet and trying to make me laugh which she did elicit a giggle. But I'm glad I was paying attention. Unlike paying attention to the fact that we weren't given straws to either of our drinks. Grr. Good thing I was going home and not somewhere where I would've needed those straws. Also no napkins which always makes me irritated. Have you tried eating a burger on the go? It's messy. I mean, I'll go back, the food was good, and the fries were pretty fresh. And the couple of special requests I made were done correctly which is always nice. You never know if the pull up windows are going to be open or not. They've been completely roped off before with no obvious reasons why. And half the screens are marked as not working which is annoying. The place needs some upgrades or revamps or something since like DQ it's been around a while now. Owner just needs to give it a little TLC.

Food was hot. Service was quick. Maybe added a bit too much flavoring to my drink but it happens. Been here about 4 times now and only other issue I ever had was I ordered a foot long and got a regular size hot dog. Week later update... sadly lost 2 stars due to employee had to make a snickers blast. I got vanilla icecream with a spoon full of snickers on top. No blended done. Disappointing and I really feel like a employee knew they messed up and tried to hide it. 6months later... My sandwich was smashed flat. Last time I ever eat at this sonic.
