California Burrito

Came here because it had 4.8 stars. Pretty clean upon entering. Food gross. Over cooked carnitas, rice was hard and had been sitting, I asked for onions and peppers they were cold. The pic is what I left did not eat another bite. Worst place for Mexican, at least this location. The restroom was dirty as well.

I grew up in SoCal. I grew up loving California Burritos and Carne Asada fries. This place's food beat out many of the places from my childhood. The fries were crispy, the meat was both tender and richly flavored, the horchata was dynamically delicious. If you haven't been here before, go as soon as you're hungry.

I’ve had California Burritos bookmarked for several months now, always waiting for the right opportunity to present itself and today was the day. As first timers we were enticed by the pictures with fries (Carne Asade fries), their specialty fish tacos, and papusa with everything (not pictured unfortunately… we consumed it immediately). We were blown away by the quality, portion, and harmonious flavors of everything we ordered. AND it was so affordable, with that amount of food we only spent $25. Anticipate a bit of a wait if you see a line (5-10 mins), but so worth it as your food comes out fresh, hot, and delicious.

The place has been here for a while and I never stopped before, tried going this past Cinco de mayo and there was a long line, and so I gave up. But I came back the next day, because long lines waiting for food at a restaurant usually means good news, and I was correct. I came back the next day, then again today,I actually tried going back last night as well but it was just past 9pm and they were closed. It hits the spot, simple and cheap, and I dare say probably the best tacos in the region, maybe Lawrence to get something like this. The meats are cooked when you order right in front of you in the open kitchen. They were juicy no dry meat here, and the tortillas are toasted fresh as well right when you order your dish. I already have plans to go back all next week for my lunch break, it is 100% worth to try this place if your are looking for some tacos. I tried all 4 types of proteins with the tacos, fish, chicken, steak, and carnitas (pork). I got most the soft tacos, but I did order a burrito bowl as well. My favorite was carnitas, then streak, fish, and chicken get 2nd place. There are no 3rd places here.

I like the quality of food and the service better at the Nashua location. The Hudson location did not put my order together well. Tortilla tasted stale, they added the wrong Pico (I wanted mango pico) and they added 5 French fries into my burrito instead of a small side of fries as I requested. Nashua has great carnitas, the hot sauce seems like a different recepie that's also better in Nashua, and the staff hasn't messed up one of my orders at Nashua, and I've been there countless times.
