Victor's 50s Diner

Old-school Greek owned diner with the 50’s themed decor to match - feel as though you are stepping back in time. Absolutely fantastic breakfasts, super friendly service, and authentic as can be. My favorite diner in the central mass area. Very fair prices. I highly suggest the country fired steak and eggs - one of my favorite meals and this place makes it wicked well.

I must say after I think 70 or so years of old school diner like many others across the country it runs it's time. Clearly many are slowing the pace some still steady but not as busy. Cheap eats and quick cash for these type of owners. I tried a few and only a few bring quality of today like ROX diner in west Roxbury. Most are behind the times. A couple nice places in Hudson for breakfast and they are in the Hudson landing factory. More better restaurants coming to town.

I’ve been here three times, the first two times had a long wait but it was busy so that was to be expected but we just had to walk out of the diner an hour and 15 minutes into waiting for our food after being seated. After 40 minutes the waitress came back and said just a few more minutes, at an hour she came back and said the same thing and then an hour and fifteen minutes in she came over again and said “it’s still going to be awhile” would have been somewhere between 1 hr and 45 minutes to 2 hours after being seated before we got our food. At a diner? With average/decent food? Nobody should have to wait hours for their food and be lied to along the way about how long it’s going to take to actually get the food. People have plans and lives and after 40 mins if you tell me a few more minutes then I’m going to take you at your word, a few more minutes doesn’t mean another hour+. My son leaves for the summer for vacation today, we just wanted to take him to a nice breakfast before he left, thanks for ruining that and wasting our time, pathetic.
