Very friendly staff and a very casual and comfortable atmosphere! The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in. It was seat yourself so we chose a booth. Our waitress greeted is fast and brought our drinks to us quickly. Very pleasant and patient as my talkative son decided what he wanted on his waffle. We chose the carmel mocha as we wanted to indulge just a tiny bit 😄 The atmosphere is a 50's diner and the background music matched! The only thing missing was the 50's waitress uniforms! But I can give them a pass on that! The food was good. But the omelette I ordered was just a little overcooked. Which is where I am deducting one star. Otherwise an overall nice breakfast experience. They are open for breakfast and lunch.... so we will definitely be stopping by again to try the burgers. The shakes I saw them preparing looked extremely appetizing!

Wonderful place to go for lunch or breakfast. It was like being in the 50's and 60's except for the absence of cigarette smoke and the waitress not wearing poodle skirts or the era military uniforms. I had the Tuite fruity French toast with banana crème and my wife had the French Dip Roast beef. They were both out of this world as far as flavor. I do apologize for the half eaten food but we were extremely hungry and took the pictures after a few bites. This would have been the place to go in the early years for a date night with your favorite girl for a malt, sundae or milkshake and fries but in these days being open after 3:00pm isn't profitable.

Recently I had lunch at Johnny's Diner in Hudson, Ohio. Johnny"s Diner is located at the west side of the Hudson Plaza Shopping Center. If you are entering Hudson on Main Street/Darrow Road, turn west on Streetsboro Street. Hudson Plaza Shopping Center is on the south side of Streetsboro Street. There is plenty of free off-street parking available in Hudson Plaza Shopping Center - see video under the PHOTO tab. I rate Johnny's Diner five star for the true diner decor and for the wait staff. Karen is my waitress. She is friendly and enjoys her work. She is the only waitress on the floor today. She is wearing a face mask in late April, 2022. The only Diner worker wearing a face mask. There is a greeter who welcomes you and takes your beverage order. She, too, is friendly with a big sincere smile. A third person, maybe the manager, is helping Karen by bringing the food to the table and, also, helping the greeter bus the tables. Johnny's Diner decor is authentic and nostalgic for the customer of a certain age. The counter seating brings back fond memories of the ol' Ben Franklin Five and Dime lunch counters. The only item missing from the booths are the ol' wall mounted mini-juke boxes with the little metal tabs to flip through the pages of song listings. Each booth has a glass container of drinking straws like yesteryear. As a reminder of our Covid times, there are plexiglass partitions between each booth. There are authentic period items on the walls from old oil company metal signs, classic pictures of James Dean, etc. Very cool stuff! My overall rating for Johnny's Diner is four star. The food tastes good but is not outstanding. They have a good selection of choices on their menu. I did like the portion size. Unlike most restaurants today, Johnny's Diner does not serve you a humongous portion of food. This is my first visit to Johnny's Diner. The Diner has a good and steady flow of customers. Some families and some older folks. Plus, folks were coming in to the Diner for take-away orders too. Johnny's Diner has a lot of loyal, regular customers. Johnny's Diner is not a greasy spoon Diner. Johnny's Diner is very clean. A nice, friendly Diner to grab a breakfast or lunch. I started my lunch with a cup of Johnny's Famous Chili. It is a thick, meaty chili with pinto beans. I opted for the onions and chedder cheese topping for an additional cost. I had an unsweetened ice tea to drink. My sandwich is the Route 66 Cheesesteak. It comes with sautéed mushrooms and onions and mozzarella cheese on a Hoagie roll and a choice of side. I selected a side of coleslaw. The food tasted good.

Fantastic old-school diner in the heart of Hudson. Great food and service and can't beat the classic ambiance and vibes. They are AWESOME with kids too. A great spot overall for the family. I can't wait to try lunch here!

It was like walking back in time when we opened the doors. We went shortly after they opened and it filled up pretty quickly. Karen was our waitress and she was amazing!! She was so friendly and said good morning to everyone who walked in. She was on top of everything and kept the coffee flowing! We ordered lots of food and enjoyed everything we got. We will be back!

This place far exceeded expectations, and was a wonderful find. Clean, retro-diner decor, very friendly and helpful wait staff (Karen was great!) and good food cooked well. My sister had the omelet (perfectly cooked) and my banana-oatmeal pancakes were delicious. A very nice small touch - warming up the butter prior to bringing it to the table so you didn't have a cold brick of butter to hack away at. I don't live anywhere close to the Hudson area, but if I did I would be back...many times.

Loved the atmosphere. The food is made to order and fresh. Great folks work here and are very nice. Shakes are also made to order, homemade desserts.

My family and I were in the area and planned to go to Subway, but as soon as I saw the thin blue line flag on the door of Johnney’s Diner, I knew I wanted to eat there. I will support any business that supports our law enforcement. Once inside, the service and food did not disappoint. Our waitress, Karen was very friendly and attentive! The fries I received with my burger were phenomenal! I will definitely be recommending this place to others.
