Love this place lots of charm with great service and great food. Could use a little more fries when it comes with the meal but the burger was very tasty especially the State Grill. Can be busy so if you can early you will be happy

Fresh, rotating craft beer selection, simple (but delicious) menu (with daily specials). Outstanding XXX hot sauce! Friendly and enthusiastic bartender that seems to actually like her job, and it shows…. Fatally enhanced the experience.
She even gave a history lesson about Hudson to other customers.
Highly recommend this place! Everything is made fresh as well. Don’t miss the old bay fries

From the friendly bartender to the fantastic food, Governor's Tavern really exceeded my expectations. We stopped in on a snowy February day. We had checked out the "fancier" spots in Hudson and weren't really feeling it. Plus the reviews of Governor's Tavern drew us in. Tucked away on a side street, Governor's Tavern is open for dine in dining. All tables were spaced out,m. It was clean and cozy. I felt very safe eating here. As other reviews have said, the menu is limited but INCREDIBLE. Their Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had. Flavorful, juicy, and crispy! We also got the roulette wings. Once you find the spicy one, you'll want to order a dozen! The tropical drink mixes are all made in house and the Mai Thai was delicious - on the strong side and not full of sugary sweet, very refreshing. We will definitely be back! A special shout out to Britt for the incredible service. It was really a great experience all around.

Another cozy little tavern in a cozy, sleepy little town. A dozen or so craft beers on tap, hearty menu with apps and desserts. Very friendly staff. Did I mention cozy? The whole street is a wayfarer's delight. Rain or shine plenty of really enticing choices.

Great atmosphere to sit and sip. Governor's Tavern attracts a diverse crowd of people. The food smelled good, but I didn't actually lay my eyes on a plate of food served while there. A double of Tito's, Long Island iced tea and some other drink came to $28.

Great beer list, always. Good service, always. Food is a bit overpriced... but besides that, it is a great low-key place to get a drink with friends. Outdoor patio is a gem!
