Review San Pedro Cafe - Hudson

It was my first time visiting a Caribbean restaurant but boy!! I am amazed. Very friendly staff, and this little heaven is right at the border of MN and WI and we discovered it during our staycation at a nearby airbnb. Reservations are required but you can walk in to, we did and got a table at kitchen counter (which was not at all bad) in-fact that was great we got to see the chef in action. Delicious food and nice cocktails. You should try their specialty menu, we tried Ginger stir fry and Jamaican Jerk Chicken from it and it was mouth watering. The mango vinegratte they use for specialty dishes is simply amazing.

The chicken nachos was the only thing I enjoyed on the menu. Jamaican Jerk Chicken has small thigh, rice, beans and veggies that are over cooked. The bread that came on the side was dry and tasted like old day bread. Not fresh at all. At least the waitress was very nice and kind.

Great food and even better service! Molly was our bartender. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. There are lots of fun drinks to choose from. The food has a unique, but good taste.

Review for tonight’s experience only. March 25, 2022. Ordered food for pick up tipped the host even after auto fee for to go containers and packaging at 10% - and still didn’t end up with silverware or napkins in the bag. I called and asked to better understand for the future if I should have to ask or if this was just an error and expressed how I was commuting to hotel from a different state and now have to a Scour for a fork through out the lobby… rather than giving a quick apology for having been set back to enjoy my dinner, Bethany stated without hesitation that she didn’t know I would be going to a hotel, additionally that customers have to ask for utensils and finally stated with my 12 years of hospitality management I’m sure they have utensils for you downstairs without any empathy of my personal circumstances. I was not trying to get a free meal by no means just asking questions and wanted to express i was inconvenienced to have to scavenger hunt for utensils….moral of the story ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BAG . Thank you Bethany for being rude to me to top of the very stressful week.

Wow. Eat Here. Outstanding Service. Mouthwatering Food. My friends and I cannot say enough about San Pedros, extremely impressed. This restaurant was recommended by many to us, however our first time here. Celebrating our friends' birthday and after the worst experience ever at Mallory's we headed down the road. Upon walking in the door, great atmosphere. The hostess told us a table would be 45min-1 hr, but we were welcome to sit at bar - awesome! The bartender was very nice and knowledgeable and not pushy at all. We all enjoyed our margaritas (blood orange) and mojitos (pink guava). The chicken nachos under Starters was delicious, super good guacamole. The manager, Riley, was a peach! Like the nicest, patient, kind and easy going restaurant staff personnel I have ever encountered, even with a full bar and full restaurant. They clearly know what they are doing as the place ran like a well-oiled machine, lots of smiles and laughs and everyone enjoying themselves. Riley, the manager, chatted with us multiple times and gave us a thorough rundown of the menu and answered any questions we had. She was wonderful, the bartender was laid back and chill and makes great drinks. The food was phenomenal. Steak Tacos, Chicken Penne Pasta, Cuban Meatloaf. Oh and to top it off, Riley offered our friend a FREE slice of key lime pie for her birthday, which was delicious too! We will DEFINITELY be back, some locals told us about the patio and that San Pedros brunch is VERY good too!

Wonderful service, extremely attentive and knowledgeable staff. The food was incredible! We had Pisole, Conch chowder soup, and both of their salads. Great NA options! Great drink options (delicious and different). We received nothing but the best service from Maria B. Thank you!!! We will definitely come back to enjoy more food again!

Love the atmosphere, the staff is amazing, and the food is so great. Love the different options with a healthy twist. I have a difficult time eating spicy food, but I tend to try their spicy dishes. So good! Love the blend of sweet, spicy, and salty mixed in every dish. I highly recommend. The place is so unique and the vibe is great. Great place for hudson!

This place has amazing food. We shared a few dishes and the ginger stir fry is amazing. Wait staff was friendly, restaurant was clean and busy. There is a friendly vibe to the place that gives you the Island feel in the middle of the Midwest. Worth the drive to make it a regular visit.

Amazing place.....We were traveling and doing some sight seeing around town for our 6 yr anniversary and decided to stop in here for lunch. The food was amazing and service was good as well. I would definently recommend this place if traveling thru Hudson.....I had an Island Coffee and my hubby and I shared the Ceviche appetizer, I had the Mango Chicken Wrap and he had Enchiladas for lunch and they give you quite a bit of food we were both very full and excited to bring home leftovers. Great place, Hope to stop there again if ever headed in that direction.

This is our go to restaurant for anniversaries and birthdays. Fun atmosphere with great music. Almost every dish we have tried is to die for. Even their chicken dishes are succulent and delicious which isn't common at most restaurant. The wood fired pizzas are so good! Highly recommend the mojitos also!

Loved the atmosphere, the staff, and especially the food!!! I had the scallops and holy wah - the sauce they were in was fabulous. Also opted for the conch chowder - best chowder I’ve ever had. Only suggestion, maybe adjust the stall doors in the ladies room so they don’t hang so far open when not being used. Hard to maneuver around them. Other than that, this restaurant is top notch. The app they use to “get in line” worked really well. Coming from a half hour away with small children, I really appreciated knowing when our table would be ready. Can’t wait to bring friends and family here!

We've been eating at San Pedro Cafe since they first opened! It's one of our favorite restaurants. The patio is SO great! We enjoyed the "island time" menu yesterday for happy hour. Great food, beautiful setting, and a wonderful staff!!

This is one of our few choosen favorite places to eat. It has excellent and unique food and drinks. Always good service. The only negative is that the place is small. But the wait for a table occasionally is we worth it.

This is just our go to restaurant in hudson.wi The food and service is the best in town. Love their chicken chili penne...the salads are huge and amazing. But the salmon...wow no where does it quite like they do. The manager Matt always says hello and remembers your name. 5 stars always. Never a bad or even mediocre experience ♡♡♡

We went for breakfast for the first time. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very prompt and was able to answer all our questions along with suggestions. We all got the special which was amazing. An omelet with Caribbean Jerk Chicken With a sauce. The wild rice, cranberry toast was equally delicious. We had heard the pancakes were great, so we ordered one plate and shared. Those were like no pancake we had ever had. Incredible!!! We can't wait to go and experience another amazing dish.

These guys were champs working around my gluten and dairy restrictions. Very gracious and understanding staff from service to the kitchen! My brunch was the bomb. I can't wait to go back for dinner!

It was my first time there and I was very impressed! The atmosphere and food were great! I asked for mine to be made mild. It was perfect. I had a creamy sauce with shrimp and vegetables. I would highly recommend!

Great food at a reasonable price. Fun, delicious cocktails, colorful environment. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We'll be back for sure, maybe on the cute patio. Loved the fact that we could put our name on the list online - our table was ready right when we were parking. Great little gem in Hudson!

The Hot Pepper and Garlic Shrimp were excellent - don't be afraid of the habanero because the pina colada sauce cools it down and makes the taste unique and exciting. The Lugini Del Mar was fantastic and the dressing on the salad was excellent. We will be back soon

Perfect little hide away in lovely Hudson. The food is amazing and the plates are plentiful. Our waitress was outstanding and very knowledgeable of the menu. Will be back soon.
