Ice Cream On 9

The vastness of variety here, cannot be understated. There is just about every flavor ice cream you can imagine. There are vegan ice creams. There are water ices. There are soft serve ice creams. Milkshakes and more. We all got hard packed ice cream. The flavors are rich. The ice cream is creamy. The waffle cones, that are dipped in chocolate and adorned with Jimmies--- SPECTACULAR. The Pumpkin Pie ice cream tasted like pumpkin pie. I had the chocolate cake batter ice cream, and while I got the essence of cake bake, it didn't overrun me with sweetness. I would go here over and over if I lived local. Mix and match your flavors. Enjoy their outdoor seating. BRING CASH.

We were passing by on the way back to PA, and we thought we would give this place a try. Once inside we were greated by an older woman and a younger lady, both of them were extremely friendly and helpful. They let us sample the selection to see which one we liked the most. If you ever want to have some quality ice cream or Italian ice, this is the place to go.

I wish giving no stars was an option for this review. I will never go back again. The owner really tarnished a nice evening I was having with my parents on a holiday. We wanted to go for a ride to get ice cream with my small, well behaved, sweet French Bulldog. I was sitting outside with her on a very short leash, waiting for my parents to come outside. There was no one within 30 feet of me and my dog. A disheveled, miserable old man (who is, apparently, the owner) came out and told me I had to put my dog in the car. It was 85 degrees outside. He was rude in his approach and is horribly unkempt (I wonder what falls out of his beard and into the ice cream he serves). He is a reflection of the business he runs - dirty and unpleasant. I was told the ice cream is gross and know that it is horribly overpriced. I highly recommend Jersey Freeze instead.

I want to give this more stars, but the other day when my husband and I went the ice cream was just awful. I’m not sure if it’s just because they aren’t in the summer season and super busy yet, but both the pumpkin pie and maple walnut ice creams tasted old and had ice chunks from sitting. Also the girl who got our ice cream used the same scoop that scooped chocolate chip mint, which my husband hates mint ice cream and couldn’t eat his maple walnut 1. Because it was old and icy but 2. It tasted like mint. This is usually the best ice cream place, especially for pumpkin flavors, very disappointing. We threw them out, since they weren’t edible.

This is a great ice cream shop, and I loved the banana split! my only complaint is all of the demanding signs throughout the restaurant. "No parties," "please turn off the water," "please turn off the lights," "cash only." There are so many opportunities for a customer to do something wrong that it takes away from the otherwise enjoyable experience. I'd ask management to pick their battles and take down some of these signs. If I want to go out with my family for ice cream, I don't want to feel like I'm stepping on eggshells.
