Great little restaurant!
We’ve been enjoying lunches here for years and an occasional dinner as well.
At first I wondered how they could have such a variety on the menu and then I noticed that some items are only available at certain times. One such item is the prime rib.
And what do you do the week after prime rib weekend? Offer it as a daily lunch special until you run out. My nephew and I were fortunate enough to walk in on one of those days.
Best $6.99 lunch I’ve ever had!
Thanks folks.

Yummy!!! My hubby and I went for breakfast. Very good! We both ordered omelets and hash browns and hubby got 1/2 stack pancakes. Their pancakes are huge!I had ATC! (Asparagus, tomato and cheese) and hubby had the fajita. Both were excellent! The service is wonderful! All servers were helpful and so nice!

My family has been eating at Chef Troy's for years and have enjoyed everything. This time was different. The food was not of the same standard that it was in the past. The marinara tasted like it came from a jar and the jambalaya was not consistent on temperature. There were three bowls.of jambalaya served and non of them were at the same temperature. I pray that this visit was just a fluke because we have enjoyed our visits in the past.

A 5 because.. It's Good !!!
The Shrimp was tender and not rubbery and maybe the best Cocktail Sauce I've had.
Hush puppies were crunchy on outside and didn't taste like fish as some do.
I overheard someone giving the Steak high marks and really everything I've heard has been Good!!!
They have Specials on Fri, Sat and Sunday such as Crab legs and Lobster. (I guess you could call them) And I think that's when they are open till 9pm. Otherwise it's Breakfast and Lunch I think.
The staff was very friendly and attentive and your greeted when you first arrive.
It's a very casual place and doesn't look like much but you feel welcome.
It was clean and I saw staff sweeping and wiping Menu's.
The Health Rating was 95.
It's 1.5 miles off of the main HWY so it's easy to get to.
I recommend Chef Troy's!!!

Restaurant sits in a small town beside the fire station. Stopped in last week while on the job. Recommended by fellow coworkers. Upon entering place appeared very clean, busy for lunch, specials clearly visible, but wasn’t sure if we sit ourselves.
The menu was very nice laminated with nice pictures and made me want to return for dinner. I ordered a sausage poboy w/ sweet potato fries. I loved the fact they have in-house WiFi and easy to log on to (when you’re signal ain’t great out there!) I liked the two big TVs on either side of the room, easily viewable no matter where u sit.
My poboy arrives and looks good but notice the poboy bun is rather short and skimpy on the sausage. While quite a rather conservative amount of waffle fries. A person described the sauces on the table. One being ranch, my favorite. This ranch in a bottle had been sitting here at room temp. It’s a dairy product and will eventually spoil. Maybe the health codes in this county are different than what I’m used to.
I’d like to see larger portions and refrigerated sauces upon request.

This place is fantastic! Our food was fabulous and we loved the atmosphere. We drove an hour and a half and it was absolutely worth the drive. You have to make the trip!!

The smoked chipotle chicken corn chowder is the best soup I have ever eaten!!! Need to serve it in bigger bowls!! I get this every time we go. It's delicious.

Chef Troy's is becoming my go-to for takeout when I'm home. The building is nothing to look at, but you do get to see the oldest wooden jail in Alabama across the street. I haven't ordered anything yet that I didn't like.

Would have expected better for its potential. Food was good, would have been better if had not been cold. atmosphere was nice but in the hour it took to get our food after we ordered, the cold food was a slap in the face. The kitchen does not do orders first come first serve, they do them by easy and number of people so if you have 2 people ordering a cheeseburger and fries, you will be in and out way before people in a group - this is bad business and Troy has lost mine. All Troy does is collect money at the register and he knows he has a gold mine and does not care about customer service at all. It was Memorial day weekend and he still has short hours and says he is under staffed. It is Memorial day for crying out loud, and he is not staffed?? he will not be in business long once people get a bad taste in their mouth about poor service and inconvienient hours. been twice and same thing both times. with not be back!

This place is above average. It is hit and miss. Place was much better when Troy did most of the cooking

For starters I do not like ruebans, nor sour crout or cornbeef. But by golly has the Gambino rueban change that I love this sandwich and recommend everyone to try it once. The flavors really go well together and the Gambino toast is mouth watering. I order this everytime I go and even got a friend hooked on them as well.

Techaa. Have had the Prime Rib,and it was the best i have had. Also last week he had Tuna steaks and a few Swordfish steaks, wife had Tuna i had the Swordfish, both were excellent!<br/>This restaurant is hidden in rural Alabama, but seems to draw a crowd every time we go,which is about once to twice a week.

Incredible menu includes steaks, seafood, poboys, fresh baked desserts, many breakfast items, some amazing pasta dishes, etc. Chef Troy is great at what he does! This place is a find!
