This place is da bomb. My new favorite in Spring Branch. Sashimi is high quality. Shrimp fried rice with a little bit of the red sauce is a must. Hidden Gem for sure.

We've not been a while after we moved to Missouri City. Seems likey they changed the owner and remodeled. However, the food is still very good and fresh. Especially our favorite Flounder Sashimi and the sides of combo. Also if you are kimchi or spicy lover, you should try their Jalapeno Kimchi. It's very impressive and unforgettable taste. Service, i would say best in the H-Town. They are very friendly and nice!

This place is really good, very authentic, and the staff is extremely friendly. I went with a group of four and we got the "medium" sashimi combo which is listed on the menu as feeding 2-3 people for $125. It included a full set of sides. We also got a Korea bbq bowl, which turned out to be unnecessary as we could have easily fed all four of us with just the sashimi combo. While the sashimi is very good and you get a ton of fish, my favorite part of the meal was actually the sides which were part of the combo. The cool things about the sides is that they're very different than the little dishes you normally get at a Korean restaurant - many of them were either meat or seafood based and could have been entrees on their own. There were a lot of things I had never tried before despite eating Korean food reasonably often. Also, while the outside of the place isn't that great looking (it's in a strip mall) the inside is actually really nice and warmly decorated. The tables are each off in a private room which means it's a good place for groups. That also means you probably want to make a reservation as there aren't that many tables/rooms. Finally, some parts of the menu are only in Korean but that wasn't much of a problem because the staff was very helpful.

I ordered the Sashimi with mixed greens which left me quite impressed. This dish was extremely varied with its flavors and was very interesting to eat. All the contrasts between hot and cold, sesame and garlic, fish and shiso, roe and rice, were all paired very intricately which lead to a dish where almost every bite taken between chopsticks was intensely different. Overall the atmosphere could use a little updating but the dish I had alone makes this restaurant one of the best sashimi places in town. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

It's located in the bad area of town, but I have been to shadier places. I was kind of scared to leave my car outside, but it's not really that bad. When you first walk in, the wait staff will greet you in korean. There's this narrow way to get in because each diner area is block off by Japanese Shoji-style screens. This place is as close as you're going to get to korean sashimi in the states. They have live/moving sashimi, but we didn't order that. My friend and I ordered the "small" size which was increased from $65 to $79.99. They also have Lunch specials, but I don't know the days and the hours. The menu was basically in korean, which I cannot read, but the wait stuff was kind enough to tell us what it is and suggest what we should have. I have to say, this place has the best asian service I have ever gotten. They were attentive, nice, and did not have that stand-off sassy attitude. I thought we were going to get some sort of appetizer and sashimi like the usual mix which is miso soup and sashimi. I should have known this is KOREAN SASHIMI style not Japanese even though they plaster that all over their front window. Their decoration is Japanese-esque, but however don't expect any of that! Here's what came out... Korean Roasted Rice Tea Rice Porridge (It was flavorful, best porridge I've had going to a restaurant) Sashimi Salad (It was spicy and had that freshness from the sashimi, I could eat this everyday!) Hiyayakko (Japanese Cold Tofu) Sea Snail Sweet and Sour Pork Fried Mackerel Fried Anchovies Cream Corn Fried Vegetables Korean Pancake (it was soo good!) Shrimp, Korean Yam, and Cucumber tempora Spicy Crab (cold) Sweet Fresh Fruit Salad with Eggs Stir-fried squid (ojinguh bokkeum) Sashimi platter which consisted of salmon, flounder, and sea cucumber and lastly, fresh tangerines for desert I usually dislike flounder because most places that serves it is not fresh and it can taste really gross. However, this place is the freshest flounder I have ever eating and I think we either got the whole flounder or half of the fish because it was served in a 12 inch diameter bowl. The sea cucumber I could not handle because it was slimy and crunchy. The waitress told us that koreans and japanese like to eat sea cucumber raw, but my friend couldn't even swallow it. It's a really place to be adventurous to say the least. They also have this mixture which I believe is Korean spicy paste with scallion and minced garlic. You put the flounder in the lettuce and with that mixture and then everything makes sense. I never had this way before but I honestly think it is really good because there's the freshness from the flounder, the spiciness from the paste and the lettuce serves as a vessel that holds everything together. Even though, it cost an arm and leg for us (college students), you really get the bang for your buck. I would most definitely go back when I want to treat myself!

The king size tonkatsu from the lunch special was a bomb. It was literally the king size and tasted super good. However, the seafood noodles was really bland and tasted like the instant one. The service was good overall.

The food was great, and it just keeps coming. Lots of starters, sashimi is great, put some red paste on the lettuce leaf, add the sashimi... And when you're done eating all of that, out comes there tempura and fish soup. It's magic.

One of the best authentic Korean restaurants in town. You just have to try their different options of set menu with choice of Sashmi, and a veriaty of other dishes all included in a meal and in a semi private room separated from others.

It's a ton of food and sides. Very interesting to have Korean sashimi. The flounder sashimi was great. The door says it's Japanese sushi but that's just so american's aren't so confused. Everything is korean, except maybe the wasabi and pickled ginger.

Among the best Korean food. Great flavor, generous portions, generous side dishes, free special side dish of corn butter and veggie tempura is delicious. Try out jjampong !
