You can feel the love, smell the love and taste the love in Heavenly Choices. I felt so welcomed and loved like I was walking into my grandmothers house. My first time here I got the smothered pork chop, Mac and cheese cabbage corn bread the German butter cake and the sweet tea everything was good, and was also prepared nice and neat. Everything was clean and the placed smelled like cake coming out the oven Devine. Thank you Heavenly Choices for your great customer service and delicious food.

Definitely home cooked good ole southern soul food. My husband had the oxtails and ate it up so fast and I had the chicken and rice. The cabbage and the yams were our favorite. We stay way north by Katy but took the drive from a recommendation from “Major”. Oh that German Cake is delicious! We will be back! Service was good 👍🏾 Try it if you haven’t you’ll be hooked

Everything was so delicious. The Owner was super, friendly , helpful, caring. She Made everyone feel like family as they walked in. Not only was the food delicious but that German butter cake was so good.
We are going to have to have our family reunion in the parking lot that food was so good. Just bring everybody there to eat and send them home 😂😂
The food was so good one customer was sitting at the table sleeping with his mouth wide open. I said now that’s good advertisement right there.😂😂

If you love great soul food and a family environment, this is the place to go. This small business is a treat, and we love that the owner is a product of the community. You never know who you might run into. The German butter cake and peach cobbler are no joke, and the sweet tea is a must. Just to name a few entrée favorites, we highly recommend the oxtails, smothered pork chops, pig feet, and meatloaf. The vegetables are really good, with okra being my go-to. We have dined in and gotten food to go. To say we are fans is an understatement.

Accidentally crashed the owner's 60th birthday party but they welcomed us in and fed us anyway. The atmosphere was the most loving and amazing set of people. The food was delicious! Best soul food in the Houston area! Honestly, got the oxtails with yams and corn. Never.....EVER had yams, corn and oxtails like this place serves it. So good had to circle around the block, go back in and give my compliments to the chef and owner. GREAT FOOD and beautiful people. Will definitely visit again very....very soon.👍🏼

My goodness!! I grew up in 5th ward but had never been to this place, all i have to say is wow and please visit this place for the best soulfood in all of Houston! I had the meatloaf with rice and gravy, yams, and mac/cheese, it was absolutely delicious, not too salty, crispy edges, soft tender meat, great taste, by far one of the best dishes Ive ever had in my life. I cant wait to go back and try the oxtails and smothered pork chops.

I came inside and I was greeted so warmly and lovingly that I I think I live here now. I got a hug and bought a warm meal on my lunch break. The food was as delicious as you would have from a loving grandma. I mean home kitchen made. The meatloaf was really good and flavorful. The green beans and the cabbage were really good and I enjoyed the ladies chatting nearby. The cabbage was memorable. My girl likes cabbage. I want her to try it here. You should come here and eat. It will lift your spirits and your soul.

The food is excellent, from the main course to the dessert. My friend and I stopped by on a Sunday 12/4/2022. They were almost sold out of food. The two beautiful ladies behind the counter were very courteous, and exceptionally helpful. I had the meatloaf and he had the oxtails. We will definitely be going back again. I recommend you visit this establishment the food is "Heavenly"

My husband and I see to it that we always visit this cozy restaurant every time we travel to Houston. The staff is so friendly and loving, and the food is absolutely delicious. We came here for the first time on our honeymoon and they were so welcoming. The owner/cook came from the back to hug us and extend her appreciation for our business. Dining there is like dining at home. Good people, good food, feeling all the love. We’ve traveled back to Houston about 5x and every time we come to this restaurant the owner comes to greet us. They all remember us as “the newlyweds.” It’s the little things like that that will keep us as forever customers. We’ll be back soon. Those oxtails and cornbread are addicting!!!!
