I took a trip to Houston a few days ago with a friend and I just so happen to stop by Hotsome while driving through Chinatown and let me tell you… this was THE best chicken wings I have tasted in Houston, Texas. It was so hot, fresh, crunchy, a lot of portions and the bulgogi was so good!! I wish they had a location in Miami!! You MUST try this place if you like Korean food. And the waitress was so sweet she was awesome and attentive. I will definitely be back to try more dishes here when I visit again.

My friend and I tried the chicken wings with soy and the Korean junkie. 💘😻💜 Love. Fried perfectly and flavors that please the palette. Can't wait to go back to try more. One of the top wing places in Houston IMO.
Don't expect American hospitality service but this is typical of Korean restaurants.
The place has plenty of indoor seating and was not crowded. It was clean and I felt comfortable eating inside.
I just found a new favorite place for DELICIOUS Korean food! I got the Korean BBQ fried chicken and the Kimchi fried rice. Heaven in the mouth! Their menu has a large and good variety of meal options and the milk tea I got was very tasty too. The atmosphere is casual but trendy, very well illuminated and ideal to take all the pics from the food. Oh, and we got our food fast. Definitely coming back to this 100% recommendable place!
Came here for a late Friday night dinner. We ordered the pork belly ramen, kimchi dumplings, and fried boneless chicken. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back.
First time ever coming here, we always passed it up and man do I regret it! We were missing out!
My daughter wanted wings for her birthday and that's what she got, we order a feast to try a little bit of everything and everything was delicious and fresh. Everything was full of flavor! Which we loved.
The places is nice and spacious with plenty of places to sit and they play non stop K-0OP which my daughter LOVED!
You do have to order before you sit and the order comes out pretty fast.
Definitely recommend the Korean Wings. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!
I know Von's has been slammed for their service, but we've visited 5 times since opening (2 takeout, 3 dine-in) and the service has been good. Not great, but good. The food still takes some time to come out (expect a 20 minute wait), even when they aren't busy (which, sadly, seems to be most of the time now). Once the food does come, it's great! One thing I did notice was the size of the bulgogi fries seemed to get smaller between the first and second visits; I'm not sure if this is just normal fluctuation or if it's permanently downsized.
Food is good, but overall docking a star for slower service.

The rice is perfection here and the lunch trays are awesome to eat. The meal is more fulfilling than spending it on McDonald’s and fast food. The price for 2 lunch trays was 21 bucks with water. It’s really poppy inside and there’s plenty of space for group meals together. They also deliver with grub hub!
Come to this new spot in Spring Branch!
Ordered take out. Take-out is always difficult for crispy chicken as the drive would soften the texture, making it less delicious. But not the case here. Crisp, flavorful, not too heavy.
I had the bulgogi fries for take out during lunch and I was sad to see I was the only person there! My dish was amazing, good quality beef in good quantity, tasty kimchi and the fries at the bottom were delicious after soaking up the kimchi and beef flavors!!! Price was fair and I will be back.
My first time here and I believe they change their name from Vons fried Chicken to hotsome chicken. This is a very spacious restaurants, capacity can seat a little over 100 people. There's plenty of parking spots nearby the entrance and it's free. They serve are there things aside from fried Chicken. I order the kimchi fried rice along with some fries. The two flavors that I had where sweet chili hot and the Korean junkie. The Korean junkie reminded me of fried chicken inside h Mart.
You have an option of deep frying your chicken wings or oven baking them. The difference is deep frying will require two times of frying as of the baking is 1 time of frying and then finishing off in the oven to take off as much grease. Of course, fried Chicken is made for deep frying so I did that. The batter was nice and crunchy and the flavors were very flavorful. I ordered six wings and a 4 wing plus fries combo. The fries were perfectly cooked and season very well. I ordered the kimchi fried rice, which was sad because it was a bit sour. I've had kimchi fried rice at other places and the flavors did not compare. I would definitely void out that order.
Service was great, you order up front and they give you a buzzer, when your order is ready your buzzer goes off. The cashier helped us decide on the flavors and was able to explain what some of these flavors are in comparison to other Korean fried chicken places. That was extremely helpful. Overall, I come here for the fried chicken again! 6 is probably enough for two people since the wings are huge!
