Always go here when I'm out of town in a place that has checkers. They left Dallas a while ago and I hated that. The cashier was friendly and very helpful and the food is on point. They have a value menu which is very good

I love checkers, I was so mad because they told me to move up in the drive thru and they would bring my food. I was waiting for 5 minutes and saw the car behind me leaving with their food. I only had one order! I walked up to the window to request a refund. To my surprise they were so nice and sweet! Apologized and was still going to give me my food even with a refund. I was so happy that they were so sweet (so hard to find these days so I had to write a review) I apologized! Refused the refund, my food is good and hot. Damn awesome service is hard to find these days. They made my day.

Although the food is good and the burgers are inexpensive, the night staff is slow, and you should double check your order before leaving . Just ignore the night staffs attitude. Its consistently poor. Well today my experience was first rate. The female mgr from new orleans was THERE. The food is great...ON TIME...AND COURTESY HAS RETURNED TO CHECKERS!!! THANK GOODNESS...Now i will continue to patronize.

Come for the burgers but don't forget the dessert. Get an Oreo fudge sundae or a funnel cake- you won't regret it.

Being from back East.. I've always loved Checkers.The food is typically exceptional.The service on the other hand wasn't great. However, I can honestly say that the service under the new management is much better today than it was when it first opened .
Even though we've been waiting for over 30 mins for our food. I think the manager must be off duty.

I’m not sure what happened or why they changed managers. But checkers is just not the same anymore. They never can get the order right. Then they want to charge you for what comes on the dang sandwich. Smh bring back that old crew or will ban that place.

Great burgers, fair service.
If you're looking for a fast bite, this may not be the best place to eat. Their serving times can be unpredictable. I've placed very large orders and have received it with 5 minutes, but I've also placed small orders and have had to wait almost 15 minutes without anyone else ahead. The burgers are freshly cooked with real beef, always juicy despite being a tad small. Their seasoned fries are much better than some other restaurants with "curly fries". The chicken bites are crunchy, tender although a bit dry. Overall, one of the best fast food restaurants around this part of town.

The fries were good, the chocolate milkshake was better than I expected, the burger was decent, and the price was right. The only real downside is that only outdoor seating is available, but I knew that going in.

Go visit Checker's, it's a real treat from all the other fast food out there. You can get by pretty affordably; but you may not want to after you see their yummy menu. Be prepared to wait... that's what happens when you get your food fresh and hot... you have to wait folks... so no complaining!

You cannot beat a place that service you 4 items for $3. Plus the sandwiches are tasty and so are the apple pies. The seasoned fries could stand to be a little crispier. My getaway from a hectic day.

This one is decently priced. I can't speak on anything but fries and apple pies as far as taste. In do not like how their fries have salt added and I have never been to a Checkers that adds salt to their already perfectly seasoned fries.

I have always loved the food here! I'm giving this place 5 stars for the food. They are probably one of the best places to get a good fast food burger. I actually can't wait until they build more around the Houston area. Unfortunately the staff at this particular location isn't the best. It's really hard to say they were rude because the didn't ask us anything other than "What you want to order" afterwards a bag was handed to us through the window as if we were buying drugs and needed to flee as quickly as possible. Staff gets a big donut for service. Other than I recommend the "actual establishment"

It's been 23 yrs since we've had a Checkers in Dallas and it was so damn tasty every time we went. So when we discovered there was one in Houston where we visited for the weekend, I wanted to relive the moments but I tell you what... it was nowhere near what it used to be back then. Service was great but sadly the food itself was nothing to brag abt. The only thing that tasted hot was the meat. It reminded me of a Wendy's burger- cold bun, unmelted cheese and just a warm piece of meat, everything else was cold. �

Mannn, let me tell you. That bbq bacon big buford was radical. It was sooo good. I drive 30+ minutes to go to checkers. Im from louisiana. So i know bout rallys. Since i was a child. Always a big buford combo with a strawberry milkshake. But all the food is good. Them chili cheese fries. List goes on. Matafact i just at a big buford courtesy of great coupons. Went twice and the order was made incorrectly both times. Even if it was right it wouldn't have been good...the burger looked like something they'd serve at a 50 year old bowling alley. Fries were surprisingly delicious though.
