Eugene's Gulf Coast Cuisine - Houston - Photo album

Just a great experience for my friend’s birthday dinner. Staff was great about adding seats as our party unexpectedly grew by a few people. Food was phenomenal, 7 people everyone thought their entrees were great. Server was great and everything ordered came out correct. This place isn’t on a mai
Everything was excellent, and the owner even came by to chat for a few minutes. My sole criticism is that the service needs improvement. Overall, GREAT experience worth every dollar! Don't forget to try the sweet potatoes. You'll be glad you did!
I finally tried this place after hearing about it constantly since they opened. Eugene’s happy hour menu is one of the better ones in the River Oaks area. Fresh Gulf Oysters on the half shell are $1.25 a piece. Half a dozen is only $7.50 and a dozen is $15. The oysters were very fresh and plump. Pr
For our last and final night in Houston, we wanted to check out a very local restaurant. Not the most photogenic food, but boy was it delicious. Great seafood gumbo, wonderful oyster stew, shrimp etoufee, and all kinds of sides and fixins . They had quite the selection of fresh caught local fish on
I love the happy hour oyster bar. My girlfriend and I went there for the raw oysters. They were delicious and only $1.50 each as of 11/24/23. We bought 18. The mini crab cakes were delicious as well. Seafood gumbo (not on the happy hour menu) was a little bitter for our taste. Overall great seafood,
One of Houston's best restaurants by far and definitely Michelin star worthy. Everything was excellent, and the owner even came by to chat for a few minutes. My sole criticism is that the service needs improvement. Servers need to carry crumb scrapers (we had crab claws with crunchy garlic bread to
This was the first time at Eugene's Gulf Coast Cuisine. Come early as parking is hard to find. However they do offer valet. I don't know the price. As we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome from the hostess. We did have reservations and strongly recommend making reservations beforehand. Th
Great place for seafood, with big selection of dishes , their fish and oyster so fresh .
Waze introduced me to Eugene's. After driving by during heavy traffic and reading the Google Reviews, I had to give it a try. My husband and I returned to enjoy Saturday happy hour. Their specialty drinks were wonderful. And the food was great.
We came to Eugene's prior to a show downtown. The time of our reservation allowed us to enjoy Happy Hour and a delicious meal. Service was well-paced attentive and not overbearing. Everything arrived hot (luke warm food is not a positive in my book) and was very good. So good, in fact, that we're
Solid spot for seafood - think Pappadeaux’s but better. There are a few non-seafood options but I would recommend stick with seafood as that’s what they do best. The oysters are a must try and for dessert, definitely try BUDDY'S CHOCOLATE CAKE.
When you first walk in, you are welcomed by encapsulating music and the sound of conversations happening around the room. Then the hostess welcomes you and takes you to your table where you can't help but notice how you are captured by the ambience of the restaurant. It sets the mood for a relaxin
Eugene's is a classic environment. Their services is good it was very quite on a Saturday evening. Their oysters were really good and fresh. We tried the crab cakes shrimp and grits and stuffed shrimp. The crab cakes are OK, nothing fancy. The shrimp and grits were different not my favorite but one
Restaurant itself is really nice and well decorated. Valet is convenient and the umbrellas are a nice touch. Food was delicious but took a star off because scallops were burnt and it needs more bathroom stalls.
You will thank yourself for coming here..I love this restaurant!!! If you ever feel like you want to treat yourself, please come here. Baked oysters were perfection - meat was tender as could be, cooked exactly to temp - still soft & delicious 2 days later. Bake potatoes are sooo stacked, you will n
Tried this place out for the first time and this place is so very quaint and beautiful. The ambiance is peaceful and inviting. They put us in a separate area since it was 7 of us which was very nice because it was more private. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The appetizers came out fast and
High end place that requests proper attire to enter. Parking is very limited and reserved for the vallet but the nearby neighborhood offers street parking if you don't mind walking a block or two. There wasn't much of a crowd during lunch on a Friday, so we got seated right away. The oysters are gr
Always a great choice. The food is delicious (NEVER had anything that I couldn't highly receommend) & the staff are outstanding. Parking can be a bit rough if you choose to self-park, but that's why there's a valet right at the door.
Amazing service. Attentive, thoughtful, and helpful. Food is good. Oysters are fresh. Tried the daily special soft shelled crab. The sides are well made as well. Nice the ambiance as well. A neighbourhood gem.
