This is the best bar in Houston, bar none. Only bring people you'd be comfortable bringing to Sunday dinner at your parents' house. Rose suffers no fools. She is a treasure.

I'm giving Rose Garden a five star because it was exactly what I wanted. Small, quaint place where I can have a conversation with my lady. No frills or pretentious atmosphere, just a chill place to have a beer and hang out.

It is a quaint old fashioned place studded with Elvis memorabilia from a different time and there is also a pool table, but it feels more like entering into somebody's living room possibly because the owner is so nice and welcoming.
