I asked for a cake that looked like a turkey for Thanksgiving. It tasted just as good as it looked. Petit fours were excellent as well.

My daughter wanted a red velvet layer cake with Michael Cera’s face on it for her 16th birthday. Where to start?? Thankfully a friend found The Village Bakery based upon their online reviews. We gave them a call and let them know what we were looking for. They were so helpful and patient with all of our questions. They said they could do it for us. When I picked up the cake, it was gorgeous! My daughter literally squealed with delight when she saw it! When we finally sliced into it, the layers were perfect and the cake was absolutely delicious. I mean DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this bakery.

Received a box of treats today! The pastries inside were incredible! I loved the lemon tart, and the pumpkin cheesecake was incredible.

Cannot say enough good things about this place! We ordered a cake over the phone for my son's 7th birthday, requesting a shark cake that a 7 year old would find cool and scary. We don't live in Houston and we're sure what we would get, but the reviews were encouraging and the guys were great to deal with. They killed it, making a two-tiered cake that looks just like Jaws coming out of the water. They even threw a severed limb in the shark's mouth, along with lots of other great little touches. We were blown away at the artistry of it. Plus, the cake was delicious (great cake and icing flavor options) and was a total hit with the kids. 10 stars would recommend to everyone!

The best bakery ever!!! I showed them a picture of what I wanted and he said I can do much better....They delivered a way better product than expected. They took my order a week before my event and created everything I envisioned. This is a must try in Houston.

5 stars! Purchased two gender reveal cupcakes & they came out soooo stinking cute! So I googled “gender reveal cupcakes near me” now I live in upper Kirby so all these fancy places popped up, I called about 10 different places and none of them did them, I called this bakery & they delivered! 👏🏻💯 & on top of that they did it within 30 mins, I’d rate them higher if I could. Thank you guys for helping for a special evening! 💙

I’ve used their services twice so far. And have been pleased. First was a cake for my daughters third birthday. The second for the arrival of our second daughter. We got mini cup cakes made. The cake and cupcakes tasted wonderful and were made fresh. The decorations were amazing! Will be ordering a custom birthday cake again this year. Would highly recommend them.

I drive past this bakery all the time. Today I decided to stop in and see what they have to offer. It’s a small area in the front of the shop so there is enough for one guest or couple to enter safely and any others wait outside for covid safety. The young man happily greeted me as I walked in and kindly shared his favorite desserts 🍨 after I asked him what was good. They explained all the types of bread they make and type of desserts they have. Everything looked well made and nice portion sizes. Really well priced!!!! I ordered one dessert of the hamenstchan but was given two and charged for two. The kids in the front were a little disorganized and didn’t know what pastry was which. I understand it maybe a family owned business with the kids running the front but either way the items I purchased were delicious.

Received a delicious lemon cake and succulent cupcakes for a baby shower. Just wish we had received the full order- we were missing two dozen customized cookies and cake balls that we had added to our order, and for which we confirmed the pricing and design, two weeks prior to the shower. We had also agreed upon a "naked" cake. The cake we received was not a "naked" cake but still look good. We ended up with enough dessert for all of our guests and what we did order looked and tasted very good, though.
