I was craving a little bit of everything and this place was conveniently nearby. Honestly after reading the abysmal reviews I drove here full of dread but I was too lazy to drive further elsewhere. Actually I was pleasantly surprised, the food was decent to good and everything looked to be well kept and stocked. Some of the food was very tasty, the ice cream is really really good here, the crawfish is overcooked but the seasoning was excellent (very spicy) and the fried crab wasn't pretty good if a little bland. They have oysters here but they don't put them out too frequently, and when they do the oysters look and taste ok (to be fair, it is currently spawning season for oysters so no where you get them they will taste a little different than they do normally). Overall excellent value considering how ridiculously cheap dinner here is (12).

As I walked into China Star I had very high hopes due to the many positive things I heard about it, but I was just a little bit let down. First of all the service was actually pretty good, our server directed us to our table and served us our drinks with no problem. As I eagerly looked around, the food looked extremely warm and juicy, but most of it was sadly room temperature or cold. The general tso’s chicken was just cold and bland, which was the fact for most other of the meats. The sweet and sour chicken was a bit hard, suffering from being room temperature. The seafood casserole was also very cold, as well as the fried items. Most of the problems with this buffet was the freshness, none of the food was warm or juicy. Some of the highlights included the pepper steak which despite being a bit cold, had a pretty decent flavor. The dessert station was also just decent, consisting of ice cream, banana with fruit sauce, (which was quite nice), and jell-o. Overall this is not the worst buffet I have been to, but it is far from the best.

Excellent service, quick to get seated, good prices and the I like the modern - dark colored inside.
*** Update: All our stomachs were trashed after the food. The toilet couldn't handle us.

I have been coming to this restaurant since 4 years ago with my family , we all love their food especially the shrimp soup and grill , THE NICEST STAFF I EVER SEEN BEFORE , ESPECIALLY ANNIE AND GEORGE , There are a lot of suppose to be"nice" restaurants around but my kids , wife and I prefer to come here because we feel comfortable and the most important thing: we eat really good.

Typical Asian buffet which - serves fried chicken, fried pork chops along with sesame balls and Mongolian beef. Reasonable prices but very bland food.

Crabs and shrimp are good. Wish they would cook more out at a time when they place the small container out people are waiting for them and they get them all and then you have to wait another 20 to 25 minutes to get more. Place is a bit old. Need to give the carpet a good cleaning

This is a good Chinese buffet, especially before 7:30 p.m. . They have the custom hibachi. The food has been consistently good for the last 6 years. It is one of my go-to restaurants. The food is reasonably priced. The wait staff has always been very pleasant and attentive.
