Went with my best friends “the architect” & his wife! Awesome experience! Atmosphere was urban, professional and pure Texas! Tacos are the bomb, drinks were on point, live music was great and the staff were all slayin’ it! Country vibe in a metropolitan space. Defintely coming back!
A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Even though honky tonk isn’t my preferred genre or aesthetic or menu or beer chugging background, I am very glad this place was created, invented, and followed through upon.
Jennifer is one of the most sociable and likable bartenders in the city, and the swiftness with which empty beers are refreshed is refreshing. The managers are attentive, the atmosphere makes you want to drink and enjoy yourself, the food is surprisingly filling and hype-inducing, and if you enjoy good architecture, you’ll probably lose your mind in here.
Try the duros, hot chicken taco, the funnel cake, and chug a few Bud Lights.
I know Montrose doesn’t need more reasons to entice people to move here, but this place does a pretty good job...if you like places that make you happy to be alive and have a working liver.
Had a great time snuggling piglets here. Establishment was clean, staf was fast and friendly. Drinks were yummy and we will definitely be ordering some of the food off the menu next visit. It smelled so good and the menu looked awesome.
So Tacos and Bourbon.. you think that would be enough to convince you to go! I recently went there and tried a few Bourbons based upon the bartender’s recommendations and I have to say they hit what I was searching for spot on. I gave them 4/5 based upon the fact that the tacos weren’t anything special. If I could rate the tacos 1-10, I’d give them a 5. While they offer 6-7 different tacos, the portion size was quite small and the flavor was quite bland. However I really did like the pork barbacoa. $3.50 for a taco or $10 for 3 tacos(I suggest getting 3). The staff is amazing! Honestly they’re what made the experience so much better (so don’t forget to tip them). Also they have a stage there for live bands which they typically host there on weekends. They generally have some sort of even going on throughout the week from what the bartender told us. Definitely check it out!!!
This place is great! Live music venue with plenty of large tables for groups and outdoor seating. Dance floor located in front of the stage. Friendly staff will make sure you are taken care of. Great people and fun atmosphere.

Honky Tonk Houston! This is the best bar in Montrose for live music, great beer, food, fun, and dancing! Weekends are usually super busy, so go early, grab a table, order some delicious grub, and get to two-stepping! They recently started steak night, which I highly recommend. Also mark your calendar for the best Kentucky Derby Party in the Houston area.
Cool place to hang out and listen to country music. The staff is great and the place is very clean with parking spots.
Very cool bar and the live music was really.good. the food is great. Everything we had was exceptional. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the drinks. Not the biggest fan of the cocktails that I tried but I am a bit of a cocktail snob so. Everyone else really liked theirs.
GREAT place for party dance. Food was fantastic, very gourmet. Inside layout and veranda made easy to move around and circulate. Drinks excellent. The staff was very warm & friendly and determined to provide prompt service courteous service. Ample parking.
Great space. Got to dance a little and broke in my new cuero boots. Really enjoyed the live music on a Wednesday night. Drinks were okay. Service was good. Cute bathroom. I'm definitely going back.
Great, intimate venue with a fabulous sound system featuring great musicians. Guacamole was delicious!
