I live down the street and have been wanting to try this place and finally today I stopped in for lunch and got a couple fajita tacos. Happy I did , service was fast and the tacos were really good! Met the owner who was a really nice guy and you could tell by his actions and the quality of the food he took a lot of pride in his business. Will be going back soon to try some other items on the menu.

Our family has not tried a thing we did not like. The dinner plates are customizable down to the sauce and the portions are great. Presentation of the meals and even the place itself are nice, clean, and vibrant. One of the best red sauce I've personally ever had. Friendly staff

Stopped by after hearing good things from neighbors. We had the Taurino's special fajitas for two. The food was great and the service was exceptional. They said they thought the shrimp was a little over cooked so they brought out another order. Great option for some tasty tex mex, we will definitely be back!

Notable service, definitely the best service Mexican restaurant in this area. However, their food were not as great as their service. It's good, rank among upper middle class, but not the top. Overall, pleasant experience here. Will come again.

We made three visits before writing this review to give it a fair chance. We visited on a Sunday for lunch, a Wednesday for dinner, and a Friday for dinner. The first visit was phenomenal, the service was a little slow but we can look past that for amazing food.
The second visit was very disappointing, the queso was sooo runny, the street tacos were mediocre and service was worse than the first visit. We decided it might just be an “off” day for them so we would visit a third time before forming our opinions.
We went was this past Friday, we counted a consistent 8 to 9 tables occupied during our visit and they only had two wait staff on duty. The queso again was runny, not as bad as the last time but soupy enough that we would never order it again. Portion size is not impressive, two Taco Bell size ground beef crispy tacos with rice and beans for $8..I was left wishing I had more to eat. The shell itself was super crispy though and we liked that. We didn’t care for the agave-wine based margaritas although I understand some people like them better than tequila-based.
I heard the restaurant doesn’t have central AC or something like that and we could definitely tell the 3rd time, it was a little warm but tolerable. Twice the bathroom had no paper towels to dry hands and that’s super inconvenient with two small children.
Overall I really wanted this place to work out, the first visit had such promise and I love the fact they are right across the street, locally owned, and friendly. But ultimately when I go out to eat I am going for good food and this just isn’t it.

My wife and I ate at Taurino's on Wilcrest last night. Based on recommendations we were expecting it to be good but it far exceeded that. It was excellent!
My wife had the Pechuga de Puebla and it was very tasty and artfullly presented. I had my favorite dish, chicken fajitas. They were excellent and covered two full plates. I actually had some leftovers to take home with me (that's rare).
The prices are very reasonable and the beer menu was surprisingly inexpensive. Luis and the Taurino folks gave great service and the restaurant itself was very clean and nicely decorated.
Please support this local business! I hope they will be around for many years to come.
