I got the almond fish and it was amazing!! It’s a great option if you want to take care of your diet But in the other hand Mac n cheese is amazing as well as the bread!!! Staff was really nice with us! Specially the waitresses were all the time asking if we needed something else!

I got the Chicken Fried Chicken and it does not disappoint. My mash potatoes were a little cold and i complained and they brought me a new one no questions asked. Great service and its really really quiet in there

I had the fried cod which was delicious...the crust was crispy and the fish inside was hot and tender...my sides were the fresh steamed 🥦🥦🥦and mashed potatoes with gravy...East Mt. Houston location has great fresh 🍳cooked food and very friendly service 👌...the atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing if you choose to dine in the restaurant..the meatloaf taste homemade and the green beans are good as well. The macaroni and cheese 🧀taste like it was cooked in the oven as opposed to soupy which is a plus. The quality for the price is superb.

Food was good but the highlight of our visit was the service. The server helped me get my tray to the table. She offered to refill our drinks and checked on us several times. Her service and friendly conversation was a breath of fresh air.

Truly Great Food and amazing service! We love this location off 59 and E. Mt. Houston. Always clean and the food is always so fresh and tasty. Our server, Ms. D was so friendly and so attentive. Loved her energy and professionalism. The entire staff is upbeat and respectful. Really speaks to the management team for running such a great establishment - from top to bottom. Kudos to your staff members. It does take a strong team to show such service. Well worth the drive if you are not from around the area. If this review is read by management, please congratulate your team for all their hard work and dedication to the customer! It truly does make a difference!! :)

I live way in Fresno and I love coming to this Lubys. Food is good and hot and the lady Ms. Dee is awesome. She kept refilling my tea and checking to see if I needed anything. Can't pronounce her real name so she said Ms Dee is fine. I really love her attitude within the customers. I will keep coming back to the great food and great workers who keep a smile on their faces.

Food was great. Only reason for the 4* is because, my brother and stepmother got a small portion of candied yams and my father got a heaping portion. They were quite disappointed with it. Other than that, the staff was nice and helpful, and the line servers were really nice.

My food was very good. We ordered vegetable soup with jalapeño cornbread. The liver and onions are excellent. Dee was the waitress. She was awesome.

Super friendly staff! Have went a couple of times and each time it's amazing and everyone is super friendly! Delicious food, anytime I have gone I have tasted a different dish and they have all tasted good. I especially enjoy the fish. The kids love going there since they get jello and juice with there food and get a couple of sides included.

I have to rate this with a 3, but that’s just to get someone to read it. Food has always been great. Dining area very clean. Staff very courteous and helpful. The only issues I have are prices are high. They should put their buy one get one free coupons on their Web Page and scanned at the time of visit so it’s only used once. The coupons that are in a neighborhood newspaper are usually stolen. I’ve actually seen people picking them up. What I enjoy eating doesn’t come on a Lu-An Plate (Chicken fried chicken) and a senior citizen should be allowed to order a child’s plate also. I am 61 and can not finish my meal and don’t like taking leftovers home. I prefer to eat my meal fresh. Hope management teams look into this. Thank you.

Bad time for Luby's to be asking me for a review. While normally one of my favorite places for a quick, filling meal that has non "fast food" choices, this trip was a disappointment. While I normally frequent this location earlier or later in the day, I happened to be in the area around my normal lunch time (around 2pm) so I'm assuming the lack of available entrees may have just been because of the post peak lunchtime. I was happy to see one of my favorites, chicken pot pie (yes I'm old now). What was a disappointment to me was to see that someone had decided it was a good idea to create a "pot pie" by taking a crust which had been obviously baked on a sheet pan and then set it on top of a bowl of the filling. This was obvious because as the server moved it to the plate, it slid off. Their response was to "go get me another crust". No thanks. When I asked why it wasn't baked on as usual the response was "I can bake one on for you, but it will take 10 minutes." No, really, NO THANKS. I opted for the one remaining chopped steak entree, Green Beans, and mashed potatoes, because they were out of cabbage, broccoli, or turnip greens (post lunch also?). I think I'll stick to the location on the way to Gulfgate from now on.
