My wife and I eat here fairly often. The food is always good. The drinks, beer and margaritas are always cold and up to standards. When you walk in the door you feel welcome by the greeter. The wait staff is always efficient and courteous and you usually have chips on the table before you can open your menu. The interior of this restaurant is festive and colorful and gets you pumped for an enchilada experience. The menu is varied and I wouldn't exactly call it typical Tex Mex. Give On the Border a chance. I think you will like it.

We left Gringo's at the Cypress location and drove straight to OTB. Thanks for having Ceviche, Table side Guacamole and Margaritas with actual Tequila in them. Although I am NOT a fan of chain restaurants this one has at least has good service and seemingly fresh ingredients. GOOD JOB!!!!!!

Nice staff, greeted right away and seated promptly. I am a stickler for a clean place to eat and there were food splatters on the light above the table, tons of dust on the window ledge and the light fixture that was above our food. The seats were also sticky. The food was minimal... Had to pay about 6 dollars more to get a few more ounces of steak and chicken. They give you seriously a tablespoon of guac, sour cream and queso.. Minimal onions and veggies with fajitas. On the good side.. chips were awesome even though the salsa tasted a little like ketchup and the flour tortillas were freshly made.. would i recommend.. probably not.. i love quality but also quantity and On the Border is a lack there of. would not visit agian

This place is great and really awesome service too. NOT, AND I REPEAT, NOT RACIST. The comment below is silly and really makes no sense. You're going to stand and wait for a table for 30 minutes? I don't appreciate 'colored folks' either. We don't live in the 1800's anymore. Seriously, if you haven't been here before or in a while its really good and they helped my son's baseball league with their uniforms! I can't thank them enough.
