Review Church's Texas Chicken - Houston

One thing I do not do is put my name on something I am not confidently invested in. It is 10/22/2023 and I walk in wanting a chicken sandwich.. at first she comes off aggressive and non approachable BUT she is the best thing that happened to that location. I know with demographics and all you are suppose to expect certain attitudes and energy from a certain location. She was great .. in fact every staff member was great. Cecy is that one. She beats the stereotype of what you should expect because you are not in the "right" part of town. I wish her and her co workers the best in everything they endeavor to do. I'll be back.

Today was my first time trying Church’s, and I like it! I’m a fan of the chicken sandwich, and the biscuits have a nice texture. The only thing I probably wouldn’t get again was the mac n cheese. The macaroni was smothered in cheese soup. I’m sure someone likes it that way, but it wasn’t for me.

I used the drive thru and ordered breast, wing and thigh and charged accordingly but received two thighs-not good at all. Fresh and Hot!.

I love church’s chicken! So value for money and their chicken is always freshly prepared when I go for lunch! We used to grab the 2 pieces for $1.69. But this promo is no longer available. You need to go to the store to see the latest promotions, which could be really good deal! I particularly like the spicy crunchy version.

The Chicken 🍗 was so fresh the Fries were so fresh all I can say is the food has always been fresh Everytime I visit... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK👍🏾👍🏾💯

My family is actually addicted to their fried chicken lol. Very crunchy skin. Hot juicy chicken. American flavor representative LOL.

Ordering from this place is a hit or miss. Sometimes it is fresh and other times, the chicken is cold and was fried in old cooking oil. Proceed with caution lol.

Chicken is hot and fresh and the staff is respectful...although they need to keep the customers restroom clean at all times...other than that I love the chicken

The food is always tasty and fresh. I bought the brand-new Ranch-flavored Tenders, and they were excellent! The cole slaw is perfect—cold and delicious! The staff provides amazing customer service.

Went friday & The lady who took my order and charged me was so polite. There was a slight wait time, which I didn't mind at all, but it was worth it.

Tasty even with only two people working. It was still worth the wait!!!

I went to this location after work on Thursday, April 7th at approximately 5:30pm in the drive thru window and ordered a spicy breast with a small fries. My receipt indicates that I was served by a young Hispanic male named Wesley. He was polite. However, as I drove away I opened my box and discovered that the chicken breast was dry and overcooked and fries were somewhat dark in color. I returned to this location and walked inside to request fresh chicken and ff. Wesley waited on me again. I explained that the chicken was not appealing and asked if he would eat something like this. There were 4 employees (3 Hispanic females and 1 male, Wesley working). They all stopped to listen to my dissatisfaction of my purchase. This time I asked for a regular breast and fresh fries. He then said I'd have to wait for fresh batch but I had little time and asked for mashed potatoes. He then gave me a 2nd piece chicken breast. I looked at it and noticed that the skin was still wet. I then said that I didn't want that piece either. At this point, one of the female employees looked at me with a sour facial expression and began speaking to her coworkers in Spanish. Of course I did not understand the language but she appeared to be telling them that they couldn't give me another piece of chicken. Rather than speaking to me directly, she walked over to the drive thru cash register and began entering numbers. So I interrupted her and asked "who is the manager"? No one said anything and then I looked at one of females who pointed to the employee at the cash register. I then asked her "you're a manager behaving like that? Just refund my money." She turned around and answered very rudely "that's what I'm doing"! I was visibly upset at the way I was being treated as a customer. I then told her that they should be trained by the Church's location at Almeda and Fuqua because they are polite, and their chicken is always fresh. Obviously this angered the "manager" and she turned to me and said "then you should go there and buy your chicken" in which I responded that I would from now on. This manager walked over to the counter and rudely refunded me $3 and some change, NOT $4.52 that she owed me but I was too mad by then to ask for the rest of my change. I told her how stupid she was and she called me a "black bitch"! Yes she said that!!!! I then called her a fat bitch !!!! This woman literally turned around and poked her butt at me...of course to imply that I kiss her ass!!!! I asked her for her name which she wouldn't reply and her coworkers were standing around looking and laughing. I then walked out and returned to my vehicle to get my cell phone so I could take a picture of her. When I reentered the dining area I began taking pictures of her and she kept using fowl language. So I began recording her as she walked back to the office to keep me from recording her. I am so appalled at the behavior of this manager's behavior and hope that she will be terminated from the Church's franchise. This is not the first time I've visited this restaurant but I wander how many other customers have been rudely treated by this woman. I refuse to give my money to Church's Chicken and will inform others of my experience!
