I liked the modern and refined ambience at this restaurant. It was generally quiet in the main dining area when we arrived for a late Sunday brunch, but the bar area was relatively livelier, and had bar chairs and booths. I thought it was great that there were TVs at bar area as well. I enjoyed the steak and eggs which were a good portion size and delicious. The boudin hash and eggs were tasty as well, although not as large a portion. Service was amazing.

First time coming here during happy hour. Food was amazing and creative in taste. We got the fried pork skins (Saigon kick), hummus with pulled lamb neck, and ceviche (yellowtail tuna) for appetizers. For entrees, We for the fried chicken sliders (from happy hour menu) and heirloom polenta entree. Everything tasted wonderful and unique on each accord. Dessert was an awesome recommendation from Leah, our server, which was the wild strawberry. Not too sweet, subtle enough. Last, but not least, the service was excellent! Water cups were never empty and Leah had great recommendations. Front house point person Sarah was awesome and checked on us constantly as well. Will be coming back for brunch.

Tried Poitin for brunch on a Sunday and had a great experience! All of the food was delicious, the service was great, and the space is well designed. Only downside was the wait time on the drinks, even when the restaurant and bar weren’t that busy. I recommend asking your server about portion sizes as our 3 meals varied in size.

What an amazing, aesthetic taste experience! All of the cocktails we ordered had such complex flavors, changing as they moved across our palettes. We enjoyed 2 seasonal cocktails, Monk's Mushroom & Swamp Dram, and a few from the sophisticated menu, Smoked Old Fashion, Iago's Patience, & Fiddle Fern... SO GOOD!!

Best unobstructed view of Houston’s skyline: fall is the perfect time to visit Poitin. The outdoor seating is beautiful this time of year. Chef Dominick Lee has created a robust, flavorful menu with a lot of small bites and gourmet eats. The food is really good.

Apps are great - Entrees need work Service was great (George)- attentive and super nice guy. Apps - burrata was delicious, great portion size and well balanced - hummus was delish and lots of it - edamame, cool, smoky flavor - roasted vegetables, delish and great spread. The one app that fell short was the beef tartare, flavor was there and it’s great to use Wagyu but for $10 the portion size was tiny, which again, for the beef quality I understand, but a lesser beef and shareable portion would have been better (photo below with fork for portion size) Entrees - this is where they fell short. We ordered the Wagyu ($82 for 6oz NY Strip) the beef itself is obvious fabulous, A5 can’t be beat, problem was, it wasn’t seasoned. The plate was drowned with oil which no beef like that needs. Short Rib ($85) completely failed here, it was pure fat, un-rendered and again, oil just smothered in the plate (photo below). Fried Chicken, delish and well done, again, stop with the oil drizzle on the plate but the bird itself was great. Polenta was delicious. We didn’t do dessert but the menu looked wonderful. The manager did come over and acknowledge the short rib, they took it off the bill which was not at all necessary but overly nice. In all - we will be back to give it another shot. Get the apps, cocktail and wine menu is great.

Beautiful view to downtown especially in the evening. Great service and over waiter is very friendly and knowledgeable. The Burrata Salad was our favorite appetizer followed by the Mussels A La Plancha with very nice broth. Heritage Breed Port Belly is not tender as we expected and kind of tasteless for us. Cauliflower Steak were great and flavorful. Grill Prawn was ok, and was on smaller size, I dont considered it as prawn, not even close to jumbo shrimp.

Very happy with our meal. Came on a date night and emitted the atmosphere food and staff. First off the view of down town is great the have a lot of out door seating so it can be enjoyed. We started with the hummus b it was very tasty. I had the pork belly and my wife had the espresso rubbed flank steak. We both agreed mine was better. I would recommend poitin to anyone looking to try a new place.

Everything I ate was on point, except the cornbread, excellent taste profiles, perfect cooking. Incredible mixologist at the bar. I had the pre-fixe menu for the neighborhood resturant week. Eat for charity. Oxtail croquettes, baseball steak with beans and potatoes, ooey gooey cake. Added picnic cocktail and cornbread. You need to share the cake. The cornbread was dry like a dessert and not at all sweet, a fail on a southern scale: this is the only thing that fell short. My waitress was awesome.

We had a company party here recently and the location is great! Lots of parking, spacious main dining room for seating, large bar and a big patio with a view of the Houston skyline. We didn’t eat from the normal menu, instead had a catering menu. The cocktails were great, there was a smoky old-fashioned served in an individual glass bottle which was impressive. The hostess, bartenders and servers were very friendly and attentive to us. Definitely a place to try. :)
