El Sol De Mexico - Houston - Photo album

I've came here about 5 times in total... my parents love this place. The food is pretty good. The waitress do very well attending their customers... but the only thing we dislike is how close together are the rest of the tables. I feel like it's over crowded and everyone can listen to your conversat
Update - 11/16/23 We have been back for breakfast, lunch or dinner at least 10 times (probably more...lol) since my initial review approximately 7 mos ago. Still delicious, authentic & consistent. Service is great. Prices are reasonable. The spicy green sauce (avocado salsa) is made daily and is on
I used to come here many years ago when I worked close by. Was in the area last week and stopped for lunch. Glad to see it's still open and thriving. Looks nondescript on the outside, but inside, the food is good and the place has good service (although the lunch rush made it a 20 minute wait).
I can't believe how freaking good this food was. WOW!
The food is great! We LOVE coming here with my husband. The only thing is that the music gets insanely loud later in the evenings, and it's super annoying, but it's worth the food! Lol, just try to get there before the late evening, if it truly bothers you.
The restaurant is not much to look at from the outside, and it's actually easy to miss if you're using gps. But since it's in one of the most authentic neighborhoods of Houston, you will be happy with whatever you order. Truly enjoyed the tacos from the drive-thru and will be back for a larger meal!
I had been here with a friend, and the Pozole was good.. So I decided to Invite my hubby to go try it out & Big MISTAKE his menudo was not even Hot, the waitress took her time to bring the chips and tortillas, then my Pozole you could taste and tell it was from the day before so they just reheated i
Very nice people and place. Went there Saturday evening and they had dj with music. Great food and I mean it. The chicken soup tasted exactly like my grandma's from Romania. Great food has no borders. Highly recommended.
Some of the best Mex in Houston. My margarita was the bomb too. Pricing was lower than what most taquerias have been moving to. Service was great and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for too. Can't wait to eat there again.
Good authentic Mexican food open late on a weekday (12am)! They even were doing Karaoke. Good, quick service and affordable food, delicious chips and salsa! Clean and relaxed atmosphere. The pre-made strawberry margarita was surprisingly potent! Not a lot of options for vegetarians or vegans. Lucki
Definitely a great place to eat, food is authentic and so is the atmosphere
I can come anytime of the day and the food is excellent. Gorditas, asado, breakfast, quesadilla plate.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Enjoyed my first experience at restaurant. I called in a to-go order. The gentleman was really nice with answering all my questions and taking order. Again, when picking up my order I received great service from all the staff. Not to mention the order was really super fast. The
