This has been my "go to" burger / chicken fried steak sandwich since 1983. Absolutely my highest recommendation . Hidden over on Gesner near Hempstead highway...great service, great food, originally put there because Compaq Computer started near there. Sit outside or in and enjoy their great food! Note: just learned yesterday the giant hamburger out front came off the roof of the original "Prince's Hamburger" joint downtown. Go enjoy!
Fantastic food great prices very friendly staff. highly recommended huge variety of food on the menu .something for everybody
Very good place for a burger. I will have to go back and try their other items. Owner was extremely conscious of my experience which was awesome. Old style restaurant with lots of local history. It was a little pricey, but then again I haven't had a good burger like this for a while so you get what you pay for. Definitely recommend.
Angus burger: 5 star
Cajun Special: Grilled Blackened fish w/ shrimp: 4.5 star
Beef tacos: 4.5 star

Steak Finger Sandwich: 2 star

Darn good grub here. Made fresh and served hot. There’s a great add-on buffet for your toppings. I love that. They have this “Special Sauce” that you can get at the buffet. GET IT!
I got the bacon cheese burger with grilled onions. They don’t skimp on the onions or jalapeños so get those extras. Fresh lemonade as well.
Great place. Can’t wait to go back.
I’m going again today! I got the angus burger with grilled onions and it was excellent! I can see why this burger was one of their top choices! The fries were okay, but the burger made up for it! The patty was nice big and juicy! Definitely wanna try out the sandwiches! Location and seating area was comfortable!
I have been eating at lunch at Sam's for at least 18 years. It doesn't matter what you order it is always outstanding. The service from the moment you order to the moment you eat as always great. The atmosphere of this place takes me back to the good old days, very nostalgic
First time here but will not be the last. Had a BBQ bacon cheeseburger with onion rings: it was a couple of bucks more than whataburger but 100%, absolutely worth it. This is not a gourmet burger, not a fancy place but it’s not a super greasy spoon either. It’s a solid meal from a quirky vintage place with the sign from an old Princes burger joint: highly recommended!!!
The guy who takes the orders is awesome! He remembers who you are and gives exceptional customer service. My favorite thing to eat there is the BLT. They aren’t stingy with the amount of bacon they put on it and they cook it to perfection always! Lunch at Sam’s is my favorite place to eat lunch.
The food is great breakfast tacos, fried catfish and most definitely the fries 😀 I love this place. You will too 😀. The staff is great and owner)manager is always on site to ensure things and guests are satisfied,😊
Well just say if your getting a big breakfast you might want to share it with someone 😉 Big and delicious 😋
This place was soooo good, the burger was the literal best!!! So cute and quaint in an old house in Carverdale, it's a bit confusing when you first walk in but just look at the menu board, order at the counter, pay and wait for your number to be called! There are 4-5 tables by the soda machine and what seemed like a much bigger dining room that was closed at the time I went.
The food there was amazing. And you really get your money's worth. Very clean and the people are very friendly.
