Sams Deli Diner is a comforting and delicious throwback to staple American classics from Burgers and Fries to milkshakes and root beer floats. The cafe pays homage to the many high schools in the area, bringing a sense of community throughout the eating space as patrons share stories of their days roaming the halls. Most of all, the food is excellent with juicy, mouth watering and very filling burgers made to perfection. Best to save some room for desert as the milkshakes are hand spun, made with fresh ingredients and mixed with Blue Bell ice cream. One of my coworkers got a cookies and cream shake which he stated was a great way to end a meal. If you are feeling nostalgic or just looking for a tasty burger to try out in Houston, definitely head to Sam's Deli Diner.

I've been a loyal customer of Sam's Deli since high school, and their food is simply amazing! I came across a negative review, and I have to say, it's absolute nonsense. I've never felt compelled to write a review before, but Sam's Deli's delicious food and top-notch service deserve recognition.

Nice sized parking lot for the strip. The inside space is pretty large, although over half the tables had chairs blocking them. Per the signage, they are having staffing difficulties. It's 100% counter service (Order at the counter, collect your food from the counter, clear the table when you are done). The lady taking orders was very friendly. There was music playing, but it was at a low level so it was easy to have a conversation. The food seemed priced fairly. I got a Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of seasoned fries. All of the food tasted pretty good. Seems like a pretty good spot for lunch.
Owners and staff were great. Food was very good including the shake. The Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was the best I've ever had. 1st timers and definitely will be back if we pass back through.
Local hamburger and shakes restaurant. breakfast too. Delicious hamburgers created on an open griddle. Family owned and operated. During busy times service might be slow as each burger is made to order. Got the breakfast sandwich this time. Crunchy bacon. The "hash browns" are made with French fries. Very different.
I eat here all the time and they make the best BLT sandwich in town. Diner’s have almost died off, but thankfully they are still here. I love the two owner’s. They work so hard getting everyone’s food done fast and I highly recommend them.
I have been going to Sams since the 90's. It is a great place for a huge burger and ice cream shakes. My favorite dish is the All Day Burger that has meat, lots of different cheese, eggs, bacon, sausage and other things. This place can get busy and they do not have alot of staff so you might have to wait some but it is totally worth it.
Sam’s is a place I grew up going to as a kid. After any athletic event, we would all pile up for a classic burger and one of his Blue Bell shakes. I’m 23 years old now, and after getting breakfast today, I’m disappointed that Sam doesn’t get much patronage anymore. Yes, the menu has shrunk a bit, and yes, the food isn’t lightning fast, but it’s spectacular American diner fare. COME SUPPORT THIS LOCAL BUSINESS, IT’S SO WORTH IT!!!

Local mom n pop business that has good old fashioned diner food. I go for the burgers. Get an all day burger or a Katy burger if you have that much appetite. I mean, if you're in the Spring Branch Memorial area of Houston's west side it's a must. After you're done, indulge with one of their Blue Bell Ice Cream thick milkshakes. Best place to go for a cheat day. Nothing really fancy, just good tasting filling food.
