Loved there food, it's very delicious and there margaritas are perfect. Definitely recommend to come check them out.
1st time here - Ordered the Volcano Molcajete for two, it was delicious!! Spiced to perfection. Flour tortillas are homemade, salsas have a kick, a must try.
Next I will try the margarita.
Very clean friendly service, we went on karaoke 🎤 night so it was a little loud but dam my neighbors can sing. Shrimp cocktail is pricey but soooo good. It is definitely a meal in itself.
Stopped in 9 p.m. on a Thursday night, pleasantly surprised at the ambiance and classy look and feel of this restaurant. Was greeted by very friendly staff, sat in a comfortable booth. Menu is varied and easy to navigate. Seafood looks amazing! Opted for Tacos El Molino, three good sized corn tortillas (not street taco sized) filled with grilled fajita meat, grilled onions, a light smear of beans (to hold it all together), fresh Cilantro and queso fresco. Topped one with the red table salsa (spicy hot) one with the green table salsa (creamy and hot) and last one with a little of each. Soft, seasoned fajita meat blends well with the beans, onions grilled semi soft and plentiful, Cilantro neutralizes the flavors and the queso crumbles add that fresh, semi sour taste. Plate come with just the 3 tacos. No rice or beans to interfere with the taste. Washed it all down with frozen margarita with salted rim, delicious Rita! Definitely a top 5 in my book! Go to El Catrin, explore the menu while sipping a frozen margarita!
Treat yourself!
New restaurant in our neighborhood. Nice decor, nice atmosphere, our waitress was very friendly, attended us well. The food was very good. Flavors were very unique. Only disappointment was went our food came out it was served on a plastic tray. That in itself grossed me out.
Quick and good food/service.
I'm happy with the food and felt welcomed by the staff's service. I stopped by for a late lunch after 2 pm. Since I was new, I asked the waitress for the popular lunch options and ordered the Enchiladas Potasinas with an Agua Fresca (Hibiscus). Their mason jars are pretty large and just $3.99. If you like Hibiscus, I would recommend you try it! The food was good, but I don't have much to compare it to since this was my first time trying Enchiladas Potasinas.
The environment is welcoming, the decor is nice to look at, and the staff was super friendly. Don't be surprised if the Owner/Manager stops by and asks about the service and food. He was full of conversation and a joy to be around. You can tell that they all strive to help their customers get the best dining experience. Stop by the next time your in the area!
There are hundreds of Mexican restaurants in Houston. I was pleasantly surprised the menu had items you don't see in any Mexican restaurants like fideo con pollo. That was a real treat. And talk about margaritas! I'm very picky about my margaritas and they made my skinny to perfection. I will definitely come back when I am in town and recommend my friends and family.
This restaurant has such a cool vibe and the food was delicious...we had the chicken/beef/shrimp fajitas....too die for good...served with 🌰 and bell pepper 🫑 rice beans and fresh guacamole....their salsa is soooo 👍🏽
Decent Mexican cuisine and nice atmosphere with friendly staff.
good food, friendly staff and some of the best nachos I've had in a long time
