This restaurant is amazing. The food was soooo good. I got the jollof rice with chicken and plantains and the suya appetizer. Everything was really good, especially the plantains and the stew for the chicken. Also, the staff was very friendly and they had some really smooth afrobeats playing. I will be back to try out other items on the menu. Definitely recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!

I heard about the restaurant from a college all Nigerian group. I had to visit with my college buddies for our reunion. The servers were so nice. They were really informed about the Nigerian culture. The food was out of this world. If this is really how Nigerian food taste I might get a Nigerian wife😉😂. 5 stars and thumbs up. see y’all soon

This was my first time having Nigerian food and it was a good experience. The restaurant was nice and the customer service was very good. I really liked the chicken legs that came with the soup and everything was good overall.

With it being my wife & I first time eating at an African restaurant. I can't give it a 5⭐until we visit another establishment out of respect. I have heard great things about this place, and it stood the test of great impressions. We always wanted to rat fufu, so that was our main reason for for going. I have to say the food was great, not hot, but spicy, very well seasoned, and had a great visual appearance. I will definitely be going back again for sure. This is a place to refer to your friends, and family.

Among all the Nigerian restaurants in Houston that I have visited, I rate Cafe Abuja as number one in providing the best customer service experience. Susan, our waitress was on top of it! I recommend it, strongly.

I had a fish pie and Orijin beer. It was DELICIOUS! I ordered a second pie made with chicken and it was also delicious!
Im not sure about the rest of the menu, but the pies and beer are incredible! The menu prices are on the high side. Expect to pay $20 or more for lunch. I did not try any of the other plates, but if they are as good as the pies, then you will not be disappointed.
Also, they play cool music !

I can't say enough about this place. We discovered Cafe Abuja last year and for me It's like a little piece of home every time I go there. The owners are very nice and courteous and always receive us well every time we go there.

Super clean place with excellent service. I had the egusie soup which was a lot of food, and tasty but I would have preferred it spicier and a little less fishy. My partner had the fried yam and egg which was delicious but the portion was small (his a vegetarian so they removed the side of meat that comes with). Would really like to come back and try something else.

The food was really good and the ambiance was nice. Very clean establishment. The only thing was the service. Our waitress was not the most pleasant. The food was spicy and it took at least 30 minutes to receive water, and that was even after asking 3 times for water. My mouth was on fire.

Cafe Abuja is the place to be!! Excellent customer service!! Fresh and authentic African food. The owners comes to great everyone. The ambiance and atmosphere is very upscale, classy, laid back. They truly care about their customers. Ordering online, by phone, and eating in has been a very great experience. They pretty much know me by name when I come to either meet clients there after church or during the week, when I’m dining in with my husband, or just coming in picking up my food. The waitstaff are awesome 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I encourage everyone I know to stop by and try them out. You won’t regret it!!

I went to Cafe Abuja on 22 Feb 2017 and I experienced friendly customer service.The food ( Egusi Soup with Talapia Fish and Pounded Yam Fufu) exceeded all of my expectations. The cafe was very clean, even the bathroom. The music was wonderful. I am certainly going there again soon. Overall on a scale of 1-10, this establishment is a definite 20. :-)

The food (white rice and stew) was tasteless. The stew was very watery and had no taste. Also, the amstel malt that I had tasted horrible. I believe it has expired. Nonetheless, I was charged for it. It was the worst experience I've ever had in any eatery here in Houston. #Bad #Bad #Bad
