Food was great. I will come back. Fast, REALLY FAST service even though there was only one person cooking! The waitress we met (not sure but it seems she's the only one) was a little inattentive but the food and good portion more than made up for it. Prices were great for the serving size.

I've been in Houston for a while after living in Miami for all my life and being born in Cuba. Finding authentic food from my country is difficult to do in Houston. Rico Sabor Cubano Restaurant really brought back a taste of home. The location is very clean, the chef and the server are very kind, and the food is flavorful with bountiful quantities. It's the place to go to get a taste of real Cuban cuisine.

I'll be honest, I haven't tried a great portion of their menu. That being said, I'm basing my review on my two visits. The 2 ladies behind the counter are very courteous and friendly. The Cuban sandwich was very tasty as was the fresh guanábana juice they prepared. I'm definitely making this a go-to spot for lunch.

Great spot. The area around the restaurant looks abandoned or closed but Rico is a stand alone structure, in front of the shopping center.
The staff and the menu are authentically Cuban. Everything was made fresh and the prices are reasonable. If you are in the mood for Maduros, black beans and rice or any Cuban signature dishes, this is the place.
Don't forget to ask for you Cuban coffee or Mango shake to round out the experience.

the place is amazingly rich in flavor, in kindness and in good service. even when they only have one waitress and one cook. the taste of the food is simply spectacular. Automatically transports you to grandma's kitchen in Cuba. I will repeat my visit definitely.

Extraordinarily friendly. Not much English spoken. We were lucky to have our daughter on Skype from her home in Chile. Food was delicious and generous helpings. Price was good. Haven't been able to find this kind of Cuban food since we left Key West.

Nice little family owned restaurant that cooks up your favorite comfort Cuban dishes. I had the vaca frita, it was great. We had a group of 7 in all and all the dishes were yummy. The wheat shake is out of this world. We had no room for dessert since the portions were more than enough to fill up on. Service is with a smile and great people running the place. It just so happens to be close to my house so we will be be returning soon. Give it a try and see for yourself.

The food was great there's no breakfast on the menu it just says breakfast is served all day so I was able to customize what I wanted and got eggs with beans and rice and it was incredibly delicious so simple so authentic and the people are so nice
