I love this place! Me and my boys always come for the happy hour when I'm in town. You can literally buy a round of drinks and tip for less than $20. The bartenders are nice and they are pretty fast. The staff is friendly. The food is good too not to mention it's on happy hour. If you're looking for a place to hang out... it's definitely this place.
I went to this place this past Sunday for the jazz brunch and it was my first time. The variety of food was excellent. I love the omelet station. The food was good and the music was exceptional. The customer service and hospitality was on point. This brunch blew away my expectations! I went to Red Cat Jazz cafe for brunch last month and my family received horrible customer service. I will definitely be back and I will spread the word. Great job Grooves!!!
Made reservations for 9/9 for my birthday weekend & it was absolutely amazing. The food was amazing. The service was amazing. The whole vibe and atmosphere of grooves of Houston at brunch time , was AMAZING! We got there at 12:30 & around 1pm , it started to get full & just full of great vibes . Will most definitely return when I come back to my second place I call home , HOUSTON 💙
Atmosphere was a great r&b urban crowd, grown and sexy vibes. The music was great. There is an $10fee attached to every bill that's not gratuity. Parking was $20 cash only. My food was good but cold. The presentation of food was nice and the show when you buy a mimosa tower was cute.
I drove from Dallas to have brunch with my cousin for her birthday and when I say Grooves was amazing! The customer service is TOP NOTCH!!!!!!!! The moment we walked in.. EVERYONE was so welcoming and nice! The owner & manager is absolutely incredible! Our waitress was amazing! The food was delicious! It’s a MUST when you in Houston, TX!
Came to Houston for a bday trip. We r from Miami and we didn’t have a reservation but they accommodated us (mind u it was just 2ppl). Our server was Jojo she provided great customer service. Explained the drink specials throughly. Mimosa flight def recommend.
This was my first visit with friends from out of town. Jahnay as the BEST server! She helped us us know what we wanted to order and got our order out FAST. We will definitely be back!!!!
NOTE: 2 hours limit for the Brunch. 2 hours is enough for me but I know some people try to turn up all day at one location.
Parking across the street is $20 but drive a block or two and there is free street parking.
I will definitely return and this is a great expensive for groups. If you’re not early for brunch, your wait will be an hour or more.
Brunch is a must go to if you’re in the Houston area!! Great food, big time environment with a smooth mix of classic R&B and current hip-hop/Hit music. The food was a 10/10 + the red, velvet chicken and waffles are a must have. The staff & management is outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good high energy environment! We’ll definitely be back.
Listen!!!! This was my first time going to Grooves!!! I loved everything about it. The owner is so down to earth. Her spirit is pure. She’s the reason for the atmosphere. It reflects for sure. The food was very good. The chicken was crispy and fresh. Them fried grits with the sauce set the tone for me. It was creamy just right creamy. lol The music was lit for brunch. The drinks was good. The alcohol was not cheap with the mixed drinks. I really love it. I’ll be back I gotta try that pineapple bowl.
My sister and I dropped on for Saturday brunch. Very nice atmosphere and delicious food! Overall the service was fantastic - the manager and what appeared to be an owner stopped by to say hello and the bus staff picked up dirty dishes right away. We were greeted by a two servers but ended up getting the less friendly of the two. I had the regular french toast vice the casserole with a side of bacon and eggs. The french toast was light, fluffy and had a subtle orange flavor. The eggs were well seasoned and the bacon was nice and crispy. Shortly after being seated, we were greeted by the manager, Clay, with a mimosa. I also ordered a mimosa flight. They have a cute photo area near the door and the DJ was fantastic.
A few suggestions to grow your sales: label the mimosas in the mimosa carafe and add pictures to the menu - specifically of the french toast casserole which sounds delicious. We probably would have tried it if we found have gotten a better description of what it was.
Several of my friends and I from Chicago went to Grooves for lunch to watch the Colorado football game. We walked in and the atmosphere was energetic. The hostess was very nice, the waitress was beautiful and very pleasant. Our food was amazing, I had a shrimp pineapple bowl it great. The manager came over and talked to us. When he found out we were from out of town he bought us shots. The other was was also amazing and very nice. There was 90/10 ratio of women to men. Overall we had a great time and when we are back in Houston, we will definitely come back.
