Great salad, and my niece loved her loaded potato. Service was a bit slow to order because no one was waiting behind the line to take our order and it was not packed at all. I love the food here, though, so I know I will be back.

Amazing. Service was great and the food was incredible! Not from Houston and decided on this versus the chains that are all around. So glad we did! Had the sausage, catfish, half chicken and the brisket. Brisket was fantastic and I had to make sure more people go here.

It's a hit or miss with Pappas BBQ...after a long day at work I had to post my ribs!!! And yes they are pork. Sides are Macaroni and Cheese and Yams which are pretty good. Disclaimer the yams have onions in it...but they are caramelized and still sweet!! Just try it!!

I carpooled with my coworkers and enjoyed a chopped brisket sandwich for lunch. They have excellent sides to choose from plus beer. I've been here before and I like the positive attitude and the warm welcome when I step inside. The whole place looks clean, even the bathroom smells good.

We had the ribs and wings special; it was pricey but good. The ribs were tender and flavorful and the wings were as well. Wasn’t very crowded and the staff was very friendly! The beans weren’t good though; didn’t like the flavor but everything else was great! The dining room was comfortable and inviting! Very enjoyable.

I place an order to go around 6 PM. This place was empty but it was nicely clean everywhere. Transaction was smooth. My order was correct with no issues. I rank this Pappas BBQ location in the top 3 in HTX. They take care making their hand crafted meals and have just the right amount of smokiness to their foods. I usually stop by for their breakfast tacos 🌮 😋 during the morning hours. Both the Premium and standard tacos are very large, almost burrito big, so keep that in mind unless you are packing breakfast for the week! On the weekends I take advantage of their smoked wings on Saturdays and Sundays. So, definitely spend the $3.50 for this ginormous pack of thick-cut French fries, that dwarfs the biggest fast food fry box, to complete your game day meal!

Late lunch, meal of the day All things are done well, you can't go wrong. Cheezrburger basket, worth the extreme price ,Chef salads eat like a meal. Done with confidence 🤠

I went up there to have some lunch the staff were really friendly my favorite employee he said his name was Albert he was super sweet and got me a Togo box when I was just thinking about getting one it’s like he read my mind.he also took my plate when I was done and was just so sweet thank you Albert keep up the good work. We need more people like you. I enjoyed my meal.

Amazing how two BBQ restaurants can be so vastly different (referring to the Hickory place -reviewed-we choked down a few weeks back). Which is probably a silly thing to say when every restaurant holds a differing experience. Happily this evening was full of yummy food and good conversation. This location is the one at the corner of FM1960 and Cali Drive close to I45 and the Northwest Hospital. As you can see from the picture you can't miss the sign. What you should notice however is the regular Sunday All you can eat Rib Special....because it is special and more food than you could ever finish. For $9.95 it's wellllll worth it. This location has a take-out counter AND drive-thru in addition to the dine-in restaurant. Tonight my Curse took the rare night off. My hubby and two adult kids went here and it has a diverse crowd for certain but you have a large selection of seating. Just mind the air-conditioner and overhead speedy fans as it was quite cold this Sunday as it was cold outside for a change. We should have moved tables to avoid the blustery fan, but that's on us. It is cafeteria style service and you can order anything off the menu of course but you'll likely select the special as it is the deal of the day. You may start off selecting a bottle (yes bottle) of soda as pictured or select a dispensed unlimited version. The staff are very efficient, helpful and very nice. We didn't feel rushed while deciding which sides to choose. With the 3 dino-sized hearty roasted or smoked for hours ribs you can select two sides. In the picture you can see I selected the salad (which is huge) and a side of glazed cauliflower (my hand is in the pic to give you an idea of scale. I should have done with at Hickory; way smaller sizes and not all-you-can-eat at a rip off price). Here they have baked mac and cheese which my son had two servings of, long green beans, wonderful glazed sweet potatoes and a bunch of other sides that you can interchange by just bringing your receipt back up and picking a different side than you got in the initial round. You can of course get more ribs, but the ribs are delicious (with a bit too much spice on them for me but the family loved the spice) and very filling. Our son was the only one to go back up and get another side. None of us finished our ribs, although I did give it the old college try. Our daughter was the odd duck out and had the pulled pork bun and was not impressed with the lack of anything else on it, but after learning about the huge condiment bar full of peppers, onions, sauces and the like she was happy. They have several homemade BBQ sauces which enhanced the already great flavor. They also make and serve/sell dessert pies etc but we were too stuffed to even think about these. The parking although busy and at times hard to navigate around the drive-thru long line of cars, it was easy to find a spot. Clearly a popular night to eat here. People came in small waves inside and were quickly and professionally taken care of so the line never got backed up. The bussing staff are quick and efficient and the tables were actually clean which is always something I check on before sitting down. The bathrooms are very clean. This restaurant is a definite one to return to. And actually my hubby brought me here two years back for my birthday thinking it was a table service version like Pappadeaux's, and we were surprised by the tray and cafeteria style but more than pleased with the food. This may or may not be relevant but we all experienced similar issues the next day with lower body activity (clever aren't I). But it was worth it and we will be back!! Go and enjoy this awesome place, especially on a Sunday night!!

I ordered Ribs,Chicken,Dirty Rice,Pasta Salad and Carrot Cake. Everything was delicious and fresh. Dirty Rice taste like it was cooked next to the meat it was smoked and seasoned just right.Pasta Salad had the right amount of everything not overly season or too much dressing. Chicken was just perfect could be cause I love chicken but it was.Ribs tasted like heaven on a bone moist,tender and sauce was impeccable. Last but not least the Carrot cake..... I’m extremely picky when it comes to carrot cake but y’all got it right. Not too much spice,just the right amount of cream cheese,walnuts,moistness(if that’s even a word 😂),slightly warm just absolutely amazing everything was Delicious well done Pappas!

I have to tell you... Albert is an amazing personality. So helpful and cheerful. That guy should be a manager. We may like the food, but Albert's personality makes it nothing short of amazing. Thank you, Albert.

Very good place to eat, the service is great and the food is delicious.❤️ We have dined in on occasion and we’ve have done take out.

The bar-b-q here is very delicious. I ordered the house special. Which comes with beef, ham, sausage and a rib, plus 2 sides. The smoked ham was very tasty and the pork spare rib was delightful. Their brisket smothered in bar-b-q sauce is so moist, tangy, and delicious. The mac and cheese is also something worth mentioning, it’s very good. The potato salad here is made to perfection and they give you a heaping serving of it too! They have a nice self serve condiment bar, and soda fountains for you to get your own refills. My experience at this location was great and I highly recommend eating here. Give it a try!

Man that brisket never lets me down. It hit different 😂 thank you guys for serving us the best bbq well at least that's my opinion. 10/10 I would've uploaded pictures but I took 1 bite and before I know it everything was gone 😭 😂😂😂

I normally go when I can’t get to my normal spot which is Burns Bbq! I went here for July 4th, ordered the ribs and sausage platter with macaroni salad and beans, and ribs and brisket with rice and beans for my son, Pappas did not disappoint! Ribs were very tender and brisket was good as well! Everything was fresh, I have no complaints!

Whenever I go here, I drive through the drive thru. Although the line is usually long, the drive thru service is excellent. It's quick, reliable, my order is always correct and of course the food is great! I definitely recommend if you're looking for quality BBQ at a reasonable price and fast friendly service.

My guy stopped by there on his way home to bring me BBQ for dinner and he had ordered a 4 beef rib plate for himself and for me a 4 pork rib plate with a dozen tamales, only to be told they were out of the tamales, that was OK... they were for later. The only NOT OK part was they totally forgot my 4 pork rib plate. Talk about one unhappy mama without a meal.

Stopped at the drive thru for breakfast tacos on my way downtown from home in Willis. Person who took my order was extremely rude and rushing us (my husband hadn't eaten their breakfast before so he wasn't sure what he wanted so we asked for a minute to look over the menu). We get our food and start driving, realize we didn't get a straw for my husband's soda, cream or sugar for my coffee, and we were overcharged (asked for 3 tacos, got 3 tacos but were charged for 4) if we had an extra taco, no big deal my husband would have just eaten it but we paid for an extra and didn't even get it. So I called and spoke with the manager and he said we could come back today or another day; since we don't live in the area we decided to go straight back since we were still close and did need a straw and sugar/cream for drinks. Manager not only remade our entire order but personally apologized for the person being rude and gave us a gift card to come back. Perfect example of proper management turning a horrible experience into a great one. Thank you for making us feel like you valued our business!

I like the various restaurants owned and operated by the Pappas family. Great steak and seafood places and okay BBQ stores they mostly bought back a decade ago. Good service and quality standards. I got a burger that was just okay. Supposed to be on a house baked bun. May have been a couple days old as it was not resilient enough to hold up during the meal. It just fell apart. Also, I would have expected a hand formed thicker patty. Most of all I enjoyed the fresh crunchy carrot slices. Next time I will stick to the chicken or BBQ.

Went through the drive thru, the service was fast & friendly. The pulled pork sandwich was really good, but the fries were AWESOME!!! Definitely worth a trip over there just for the fries.

Went to the Pappas on 1960 and for the second time that I've been there, they run out of brisket. The first time I thought it was a fluke but apparently it's not uncommon. The managers Bobby and Andrea are very unprofessional and seem bothered by my want for a dinner that theyre supposed to carry.Needless to say, I won't be going back. I'll go to Lockhart where they don't run out of bbq.

Great service, we had a bake potato fully loaded, and 2 bacon cheeseburger burgers the food was delicious

its bad enough that a well known bar b que joint can't be smelled from around the corner, or the parking lot,, but onions in the yams,, WHYYYY? I couldn't understand that. The beef ribs are great, can't complain about that, however, my family doesn't eat pork, so we are limited with the available sides.. Try making spicy rice or ranch beans without or without pork.

I went to the Pappas on 591960, so disappointed. I got an order of ribs, opened them when I got home, they've changed the recipe. My ribs were covered in cracked pepper. I won't ever eat there again. Like the old saying goes, "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

Just went there about 30 minutes ago for lunch and ordered a baked potato with chicken. I get back home and open my container and what do I see uncooked chicken still RED and cold. This was my first time trying this place and will NOT be returning. Wasted money and I'm still hungry. I wish I could post a picture of the chicken. Please make sure your cooks are cooking the food all the way through.
