Fonda Santa Rosa

I have been eating at Fonda Santa Rosa since the doors opened back in 2010. The service here is great. The owner is very welcoming and always stops by to ask how our meal is. You can tell that he is very passionate about his business and the meals they serve, and the quality of the food shows that. The food that they serve is exactly like what you would find in southern Mexico and I can certify this since I was born and lived in Mexico City for several years. If you go at certain times of the year they also have specials like bacalao and paella which are almost impossible to find in any other Mexican restaurant. I really recommend this place if you want to try authentic Mexican food or even if you are just tired of the Mexican places that only serve specific things like tacos and tortas.

If you're looking for a different flavor of Mexican food this is your place. With moderately priced dishes, the menu offers traditional options as well as a smaller Tex Mexico section. The service was warm and friendly as well as quick. The food did take a while to come out but I believe this to be because of the number of fajita based dishes we ordered Try the Molcajeta Mixto!
