Food was very good, I enjoyed their breakfast with eggs and plantains #4 with veggies. The service was awesome and the lady that helped me prepares the tastiest coffee
Pupusas are excellent 👌 , cream filled empanadas are deliciously sweet, as well the plantain with beans and El salvadorian made and imported Sour Cream. They also do the rice maza! and the corn maza both are flavorful and should be tried.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes something different with in the Hispanic kitchen.
We tried the pupusas for the first time, and they were delicious. I recommend the shrimp and queso one! The restaurant was clean and bright and the ladies working were very polite and quick. The prices were great too!! We got 4 pupusas and 1 corn tamal for 13.00! To me that is a great price in this day and age! Give them a try!
My family and I get the Pupusas revueltas and Yuca frita w/ chicharrón. The pupusas are well proportioned with the perfect amount of chicharrón to cheese. It's only missing the crispy melted cheese bits hanging off the sides that I enjoy when I eat pupusas in El Salvador. The Yuca frita and chicharrón is crispy and has good flavor.
Food was great got pupusas we also bought sweet bread and honestly for my taste it was not good
Really enjoyed the popusas and the yucca with my family. I would definitely recommend this place. Delicious! *Picture was 2nd time around 11/1/2021
If you want authentic Salvadorian (central American) flavor, this is the spot. We drive over an hour and a half to come have a taste. Food's quality, flavor, and volume absolutely perfect. Service is welcoming and fast. Highly recommend it!
Great find! Searched for some Salvadorian Papusas and glad we chose this place. It is a bit away from the city center, down some rough streets. However, it is well worth the adventure.
The menu is simple, with variations of the same 5 or 6 things. But the thing to get is in the restaurant's name, the Papusa. Made fresh to order, you will see the chefs smaking the manteca together with your chosen ingredients, and then slapped on the flat top to toast. The sides are very unique to the region, pickled slaw, and a salsa that brings out the flavor of the meal.
A unique item that I fell in love with was the Marañon agua fresca. It is made from the fruit that grows with the cashew. It doesn't sound that appetizing, but trust me it is the perfect amount of sweet to balance the salty of the menu.
Do it!!! Look at the picture then, put the address in your GPS and go. If you want some of the freshest popusas in town you need to stop by this place. I also ordered queso Salvadoreno. Amazing!!!
I have tasted a lot of pupusas and Tamales from Central America in the Houston area and this place makes the best ones. Their customer service is great with a smile and the food is fresh and they don't take long to bring it to your table.
