Shrimp pool was delicious. The cheese crawfish rolls were not my favorite. The crawfish pie was good. The fish was good but could have used a few more minutes. The fried rice was good. Many options to choose from.

Had the 2 piece Catfish with fries. The fish and cajun fries were very delicious and didn't take long after I ordered. Don't agree with the upcharge to add cajun seasoning or to substitute the fries with other sides. Staff was nice and welcoming, they keep the place tidied up after customers.

First the customer service was amazing I came here long time back I don’t know how it was then but this time the lady in the front helped me out and told me which ones are good. I got the shrimp fried rice but this one was different it came with egg potatoes on the side with flavored shrimp on the top with shrimp fried rice it was so good. Make sure you get extra butter sauce and mix with fried rice it’s a game changer and I loved it!!

The fried shrimp poboy was excellent, especially with the remoulade sauce added. The fries were pretty good. The grilled shrimp in the Cajun shrimp salad tasted okay but were definitely overcooked and too firm. The lemon pepper wings had no lemon pepper flavor; they are fried and tasted like the kind you get from Chinese restaurants. Which is okay if that’s what you’re expecting but was disappointing considering I thought they’d be lemon pepper flavor and wet. Will stick to poboys in the future.

This review is long over due. First off my neighbor told me about this spot a year ago and I kept forgetting to check them out. I'm so glad I told my hubby let's stop by. I ordered a Shrimp Po-boy and he ordered a daiquiri w/fried chicken & steamed/fried rice. I loved my food...that po-boy really hit the spot. The shrimp was well seasoned and the size of the sandwich is well worth the price. My hubby mentioned, that the rice was flavorful but the chicken was greasy. He said that the chicken tasted like it was fried in old grease. He also said the daiquiri was good but at the same time strong AF. Despite my hubby's experience, I will be returning.

Amazing is first word that comes to mind, from the cleanliness of the whole restaurant to the spotless bathrooms. Nestled on the corner of W. Bellfort Ave. & Braes Ridge Dr.
But most importantly the Food was to die for, pictured is the loaded gumbo (hands down best I've had) and the grilled catfish with coleslaw and sweet potato fries... Our first time here and we are definitely planning a return trip.. The seasonings are on point, that tarter sauce was phenomenal... Definitely Highly recommended

Stopped in out of curiosity and I am absolutely going back! Tried the turkey necks which came with corn and potatoes! They were perfectly seasoned and so good. My favorite shrimp fried rice comes from a place in the Med Center, but after trying Calliope's rice...OMG...I now have a place right in my own neighborhood. It wasn't greasy and I loved it. I'll be trying more items off their menu and looking forward to it. Very clean and great customer service.

Enjoyed everything yesterday. Had the shrimp po-boy, which was still warm even though I waited until I got home to eat. Surprisingly, the small nearly filled me up! My kids had wings, some hot, some "sweet heat"
Lastly, my wife had the fried softshell crab salad, which she enjoyed tremendously. It is also in a good location, which is a convenience for me to pick up lunch on the way home we will definitely be back.

If you don't wanna do fried, their grilled fish platter is delish n full of flavor with your choice of catfish,tilapia or whiting. The grilled garlic butter shrimp w corn n potatoes, omg! So good! Great staff,very friendly and resteraunt is clean.

I tried Calliope's for the first time today and it was great. I had the po-boy/gumbo lunch combination. Plenty of food at a more than fair price. I'll definitely be going back.

Hands down Calliopes is a great place to indulge! I’ve been going here for 6 years now since they’ve open. The owners are nice and welcoming and the staff is great as well!! I’ve tried everything from the Surf~n~Turf Poboy, to the boiled crawfish, to the gumbo, to the crab fingers, and all the way to the Daiquiris and I must say EVERYTHING IS AMAZING AND HAS GREAT FLAVOR! This is a wonderful gem to visit
