Review Crawfish Cafe - Houston

This was my first time eating here, I found out about it because my daughter tagged me in their post on FB. My waitress was Khai, and she couldn't have been more attentive or helpful! I knew that we would be trying the Boudin Balls (absolutely delicious!), the Cheesy Crawfish Bread and the Crawfish Eggrolls for the appetizers. For the entrees, we got a pound of crawfish with the mild Signature blend, a pound of shrimp the same way and a pound of King Crab Legs in the mild Signature sauce along with the Shrimp Fried Rice. Everything was delicious and came out quickly and hot. Khai made some suggestions for our next visit (because we will be back for sure) and I'll try those next time! All in all, we will definitely be back often, I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Great sweet potato fries (huge portion and we ordered 2) Crawfish is good overall (even though the signature Garlic butter and kicking Cajun I had is a bit salty). I'd recommend this restaurant, it gets busy after 7pm. Friendly and fast service.

We decided to come with some cousins of ours to try this place out after finding them on IG. We loved it! We started off with the crawfish eggrolls and they were great. They were creamy on the inside and the exterior wrap was thin and crispy. The sauce that came along with the eggrolls was also tasty. My cousins ordered the calamari, which I also tried. This dish would have to be my least favorite out of everything we tried. I’ve honestly had better tasting calamari. The issue for me was the breading-seasoning lacked flavor and were generic to be honest. However, the main star of the show was the crawfish of course, which is the main reason we came. I ordered the House Special Blend - The Signature sauce and they were amazing! Absolutely delicious. I had read a few reviews that said they thought the sauce was a bit too salty but I did not find that to be the case. The sauce has a unique flavor and I really enjoyed them. The size of the crawfish was pretty average, not huge but not tiny either. I would definitely recommend this place but would warn that since it’s pretty popular you may experience a longer wait time to be seated. Just something to keep in mind.

The food was pretty good! The crab legs were a little overcooked, but the crawfish was great. I got the original Cajun with medium spice. I also got the calamari, crawfish egg rolls, and crawfish cheese bread. I felt like for both crawfish egg rolls and cheese bread, there definitely wasn’t enough crawfish. Overall, customer service was great and prices were fair.

Crawfish Cafe is the place to go for crawfish! Crawfish season has begun and Crawfish cafe is a must try! Crawfish is a little expensive at $9.99/pound but the quality is top notch so I didn’t mind the price. Crawfish is more like a Cajun boil. We added the house recipe extra spicy which was edible and full of flavor! Garlic noodles are a must! The crawfish egg rolls - ahhhmazing!! If you love crawfish you must check them out! 4/5 only because the space is a bit crowded and restroom space is limited to 1 stall - with little ones it was difficult to wait in line.

Went to the Chinatown location west of the beltway. Location is inside of strip mall. Our server was nice and attentive. The food was overall good. I didn't fine the fried rice impressive compared to the fried rice I've had at other Asian restaurants. The dungeoness crab cluster was good and seasoned well. I chose the house sauce. The boudin balls were really good and I very much enjoyed them. At the end of the day I'd eat here again and try some of the other dishes that are offered.

It was really good! I haven’t had crawfish in a long time and this definitely hit the spot. There was a wide variety of sauces and I choose the signature. There was garlic and butter and a lil bit of sweetness. I think the spice level could have been spicier. The size of the crawfish was pretty large. I got 2 pounds for around 17.98 so I wanna say they’re around 8.99 a pound right now. The garlic noodles were really good but definitely on the pricey side (12.99). I really liked the sausage but 5.99 for like 5 little chucks was a little expensive. The wings were very crispy and worth it (6 for 6.99). The boudin balls were crispy on the outside and soft inside. They paired really well with the sauce that came with it, however, it was easy to get tired of eating them. They are definitely fun to share and try!

It was our 1st time eating here and all I can say is that it's definitely worth a 30 min wait. The flavor and seasoning on the crawfish, shrimp and potatoes were amazing. I wish they offered the shrimp with the head off, but it's still good regardless. It was difficult for us to locate at first, but when we called they were very friendly and helped guide us to their location. Can't wait to go back!!!

Really only get crawfish egg rolls when we go. They are really crispy and have a really good flavor. They’re completely addictive. We also tried the fries once and they were good also. Everything still great, service and food!!!

Loved their seafood! They have really good raw oysters and their lobster tail is delicious! I also highly recommend the oyster nachos appetizer!

Crawfish Cafe took me by surprise. I love crawfish and a real critic when it comes to it but crawfish Cafe was AMAZING! They were big and flavorful! It was packed. The was about 30-40 mins in which they texted you when your table was ready. The staff was very attentive and continued to check on us.

Emmanuel was our waiter. He was super nice & helpful. He helped me with the menu suggestions since it was my first time. The shrimp were very big. The sauce had a lot of flavor. The peach frozen margarita was good. I found this place on tik tok. The crawfish fried rice was amazing. 10/10 definitely recommend!

The crawfish was great. I got the butter garlic. Their sweet potato fries were awesome. The wait staff were attentive and prompt. Plenty of TVs to watch the game. Will go back.

Not a big fan of crawfish but this has to be one of the best I had . Located inside an Asian mall and there’s a little wait on a Monday too. We ordered 6 pounds of the garlic butter and 1 pounds of the shrimp along with the fried rice and others . Everything came out so delicious and flavorful .

BEST CRAWFISH IN TOWN!! Moving from New Orleans, I have been trying to find a great crawfish spot and I think I finally found it! We tried going on a Saturday night and it was a 2 hour wait so we decided to come back on Monday when they opened at 3pm. It definitely was worth coming back for! I got the Signature flavor and it was soooo yummy. I definitely will be back during crawfish season.

Man if this isn't the BEST place so far that I've eaten at to have some spectacular crawfish.. I've been to too many places throughout Houston and this is definitely one of them. Some people might not care for asain style crawfish but.. Hey you don't know until you try. You can do 5 different levels of spice. And add whatever flavoring you want. They're menu is simple but straight to the point.. You choose your choice of seafood.. You add what you want weither its mushrooms, corn potatoes etc. And you pick you level of spice and what flavor. They also have plates like meals and appitizers. Our family got the reaper which is the hottest and extra spicy crawfish fish. My daughter is two but loves spicy food but we did not giver her the reaper.. It is very intense but oh so flavorful!! The price is very reasonable.. For 5 lbs of crawfish 7 drinks which four of them were two beers and 2 margaritas. I paid $77 and some change. We were restraunt hopping through chinatown so we were basically getting a snack between us 5. They crawfish are huge so you'll be fuller than you think. They drinks were good. The placed was packed so the waiter forgot a few things. But we've been here before with a different waiter and he was extremely good and schooled us on the history of this placed and the other locations they had. The restraunt was kind of like a sports bar type, had tvs with sports and music videos which the boys thought was awesome. My daughter liked the fact you could draw on the table. And I love the atmosphere.. My husband likes more of chinatown for its culture so he would of prefered it more cultural but he still enjoied it. It's very clean.. And small but bigger enough to have still a good space between other people or family's, or party's. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone to come during crawfish season or to get seafood thoughtout the year. SO FRESH! My boyfriend and I love this place fir crawfish and fresh oysters 🦪. Yummy However I take out 1 star due to their boring fried rice 🍛 and the price is quite alittle bit over. 😙

Got the crawfish garlic butter overall great veit-cajun. The mix was a tad salty but with the lime they provided it's easy to balance that saltines away. Our server Jennifer was attentive and charismatic. She was also suggesting other items along the way. The restaurant is clean and the servers were attentive.
