Pho Ga Dakao - Houston - Photo album

Our family ate here twice in one week as our dining experience was excellent. They were also very accommodating considering we had 25 people and the restaurant was busy. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. My extended family are Vietnamese, and they approved of the dining experience enoug
Let me say that this review may have been affected by the wait I endured to get in. I came in a Sunday morning and when I arrived there was the largest group of people I’ve ever seen waiting to get into a restaurant. My initial impression was that this place must be astoundingly popular. There were
The food was amazing, came out so quick. However, the service needs a lot of improvement. As Vietnamese food needs sauces, adding here and there, the servers didn’t bother to check on us once.
Very good and it came fast even though there was a long line. I think soup is best here. The catfish in caramel sauce was really good. Big menu so lots of options for everyone. Large portions so easy to share.
Excellent food. Very tasty. Order a bunch of dishes, all of them tasted great and it fairly price , so your wallet will thank you
Their menu had so many options so we opted to order multiple dishes and share everything family style. Their dry pho ga is good… a different spin on traditional pho. The noodles were good and the sauce they add was very savory. Their appetizers were all good and came out really fast. Even with f
Vietnamese food is amazing and i like this taste to much. Staff are friendly and quick serve but my fish not ready to eat. Be carefully chef, the taste of the food is great, but the uncooked fish is very dangerous for customers who are prone to stomachache like me.
Pho place above the others. The meat was soft and tender, the broth was great, everything tasted perfect! I also ordered lotus dessert and it was a unique and delicious Vietnamese dessert. Waiter had great service. It can be busy in the morning as I went here for breakfast.
It was a rare cold day in Houston and I still had lots of work to do on the other side of town so we decided to find somewhere in Chinatown to pick up dinner to-go. Our first option closed early because they ran out of the dish they serve. We decided to try Dakao because we had heard good things abo
This is a great come-as-you-are spot with a large and widely varied menu that definitely has something for everyone. The staff is always busy and oftentimes stretched a little thin, but be patient with them and you will find them to be both pleasant and really helpful. It's easy to get overwhelmed w
They remolded since the last time I was in before COVID. This place is usually only chicken but I wanted to get the ca kho to and canh chua . They delivered on the fish pot. The soup had all the flavors and but the celery was just a bit too big for me and too crunchy. I love the atmosphere in here
Great chicken soup (but a little too sweet)... i had the one with dark meat, livers, gizzards, and a few little yellow eggs (the best!). Comfort food at its best. Pricing was inexpensive. 2021 update: the remodeled dining room looks great... soup was just as good!
First time here and 4star this time. I would say this place has everything you want for your lunch or dinner. I’d like to try Pho Bo but they ran out, so I tried com tam 2. It’s ok, the rice is quite hard, I am feeling like it wasn’t cooked well enough. The op la is too raw. The side soup is good.
I normally don’t enjoy restaurants with giant fusion menus, but Dakao is one of the better ones. Their Vietnamese food is good and there’s a dish for everyone in your family. The restaurant is surprisingly well-decorated with a modern wooden touch. Expect wait times on weekends.
Very good. Needed some help from my friends to figure out what to order. We got the more familiar egg rolls to start with and they were delicious. My friends recommend Pho with beef or chicken. I tried Pho with beef and liked it. Too many other things on the menu so might be fun to explore in future
Place is beautiful and big, food was delicious, I ordered 4 dishes, Hai nam chicken rice, dried vermicelli with chicken ,clear vermicelli chicken and banana flowers with chicken salad. Services is good and nice. Highly recommend
I love coming here for Lunch and Dinner. Everything is good and they have a large menu so if anyone want something different it’s easy to just eat here. If you never had Vietnamese food, this would be a great place to come and try everything from, everything is good, it’s not amazing that blows your
Delicious and big portioned! This place was packed with Sunday lunch crowd. One of my fav Vietnamese restaurants!
