Hands down the best place in Houston for kolaches, delectable pastries, and coffee. Affordable, freshly baked every time. Worth the drive if this isn’t your part of town. 😋🫠🤤 Not even hungry right now and I want to suffer through traffic for more…

I've had kolaches from all over the State of Texas and this little bakery on Telephone Rd is right up there with the best. I had a sausage & cheese kolache and it was the best I've had in all of Houston. They also have plenty of other blends of kolaches such as Ham & Bacon & Cheese, Roast Beef Bacon & Cheese, Pastrami Bacon & Cheese, Fajita Chicken, and Fajita Beef. I also got a cinnamon roll and WOW! The thing is huge and tasty. That too was the best I've ever had. No wonder this bakery was voted as one of Houston's Top 12 bakeries. It may be my personal #1. This place opens at 6am and parking is limited. It's a small bakery with a huge following. If you haven't been, you must go. You'll be glad you did.

I only write about H-Town food that wows my palate. This is a surprise post because I didn’t expect these sausage kolaches from the Original Kolache Shop to delight me even though I read the reviews before tasting them. I’m very cautious when it comes to big bread on kolaches or pastries. But this combo is a serious contender for the best in Houston! If you’ve traveled in Texas you know Gonzalez, San Antonio and our hill country areas have some of the best sausage, period. Heck we have decent sausage in Houston! Btw I was surprised to see roast beef and pastrami kolaches and they were flying out the case! I wanted a fruit kolache but they were long gone and I dropped in early! This little shop was voted by Yelp as one Houston’s top 12 bakeries, not a surprise because the pastries look so good I’m just not into sweets that don’t involve chocolate 😜 but it was hard to hold back! This little mighty shop is located off Telephone Road and parking is limited. It’s worth a visit especially if you’re a kolache connoiseur!

Not my type of kolaches — seem more focused on filling than bread — but very homey and local. Plus, they’ve been serving the community for a long time! Waited about 15 minutes from the back of the line. One long table outside (sits ~10).

Unbelievably good! I highly recommend the fajita beef and jalapeño kolache, pastrami kolache and raspberry cream pastry.

My wife told me about this place and it just so happens to be right next to where my company's office is! I try to go there anytime I go to the office for their delicious treats!

So fresh! Clean inside, nicest staff on the street. I have been eating here since I can remember. My mother loved this place, and I will continue to visit until I cant. Feels like a kitchen you grew up in. Top quality food, made daily, frequently fresh from the oven while you wait. The coffee and Tea are so tasty as well and should definitely not be overlooked. All around the best fast breakfast choices you can make locally! 😋

Just incredible. Been on my list to visit for nearly 2 years... The roast beef bacon cheese croissant is a top 5 eat for me in Houston. The blueberry Kolache is better than any sweet Kolache I've had anywhere in Texas (and I've tried all the famous ones). The twists were also pretty great.

The kolaches are awesome but can't say the same for the cinnamon rolls nor pastries. Have given them the benefit of a doubt and purchased at different times. The rolls are dry and hard. Pastries are not sweet. Also is hard to find parking as is limited, just a heads up for new customers.

So far I have only tried the Ham Bacon & cheese Kolache and it was one of the best ones I have ever had. It was worth my 40 minute drive.

The jalapeño cheddar sausage and pina colada kolache were both great in their own way. The savory breading was soft and bouncy, and the pina colada was flaky and buttery. The lemon tart was average

The store lives up to its name the Kolaches here are truly amazing. I had the beef fajita and iced coffee and they were both super delicious. The only "downside" of this place is that they won't have all the selections on their menu at all times, so if you want a pastry you better come early!

This place is off the hook! Hubby has been raving about it for years, he finally took me. He was right! They have tons of flavors of Kolaches. They are big so come hungry ! The coffee is also very good. Way better than the standard Kolache shop brew. The shop is small and there is always a line. Well worth the short wait.

I had never heard of a Kolache before coming to Houston but left here wanting to come back. The sausage and cheese Kolache was delicious and had the perfect doughiness to rap the sausage. The sweet things were also great. I'd recommend their chocolate turnover and lemon Kolache which were very good pastries too. Everything was freshly baked and high quality.

Super busy but they move fast to fill orders. Hot, fresh, and delicious which explains everything. Fresh food constantly being made and served. We will definitely be returning and bringing more family and friends.
