04/30/2017 I love the fact that they stay open until 9:30pm on Sundays. I've yet to be here where it is very busy and I can't get quick service. But I haven't been here during the busiest time. The ingredient are all very fresh. They participate in Amazon's delivery service which is kinda neat.
04/24/2016 Prices weren't outrageous. I remember the music being upbeat and in good taste. The sushi is good quality.

This place has been my go-to sushi restaurant for a long time. The sushi isn't as fancy as at some other places, but it is still great, and at normal restaurant prices. If you want a good sushi dinner but don't want to break the bank, these guys are a great choice!

The sushi is very, very good. Service is super quick -- they brought our food and drinks out together only a few minutes after ordering. I would highly recommend their happy hour specials, you can get a very filling amount of sushi at a very reasonable price.

The food was alright, though the cheap rolls don't have descriptions in the menu of what they contain. The happy hour is a good deal with $2.50 beers and ~$4 rolls. Our original server forgot about us despite only 5 tables being full, but the other server was fine once we asked her to place our order.

The food was pretty good for the most part. I was disappointed in the spider roll; I think it might have been over fried. The deal was great, though. We went during happy hour. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere quiet.

Sushi Rock is a staple in our home. We depend on them for to go orders and easy nights out. My 10 month old son can even enjoy some of their delicious food. The sushi is tasty and at a good price, as well. We will continue to eat here as long as they are open.

Really good sushi for the price. It's not the best, but definitely better than you'd expect. Also, happy hour prices are unbeatable. Recommend if you want sushi for a reasonable amount of money.

Great sushi at very reasonable prices. We've never been disappointed. The service is quick, and the saki is also good (and comes in various flavors). We've eaten at Sushi Raku, Crave, and other restaurants, but this seems to be the "rock" upon which we've built our sushi temple.

Sushi Rock has a pretty varied menu. As you'd expect they have a good collection of sushi, sashimi, and sushi rolls on offer. But they also have some Japanese noodle dishes and bento boxes with grilled meats and fish. They even have a yummy Thai curry or two. We also always feel at home and enjoy our stay there. The service is very good, the prices are moderate, and the food is quite good, imho.

The food was excellent and the cold sake was even better. Our food was ready with in 15 minutes surprisingly because it was on a Sunday evening. If I had to give this place a rating from one to five stars..... I give it at last ****** (6) stars don't believe me try it for yourself (with the sake).

Notes for the gluten-free diner:
- They do NOT have a wheat-free tamari available so bring your own.
- You can get California rolls made with real crab for an extra $1. (Kani/fake krab is made with wheat.)

We like the shrimp fried rice it is delicious has everything we like in it and generous portions. Best shrimp fried rice in southwest Houston. All the food is delicioso! I rate Sushi Rock 5 stars.

My new favorite sushi place in Houston! I used to really like Hokkaido and Oishii for an informal sushi place but their quality had gone down significantly over last couple years. If you love fresh big pieces of fish, and not just imitation crab full of mayo, I recommend their nigiri, chirashi and sashimi

This place is great!! Yes it kind of is a hole in the wall, but the food is great. My wife and I started coming a couple of years ago and now the staff recognize us and even asks about our daughter when she is not with us. The prices are very reasonable and never a wait to get a table.

Delicious and fresh vegetarian options. In addition to those, they have the usual, broad sushi menu. Very quick service and friendly staff. Highly recommend if you're looking for vegetarian and vegan sushi options.
