The food is very good. I eat the chicken, chicken baked potatoes, and sandwiches. I want to just make a small request, please put bbq sauce with the chicken items too, just adds more flavor. And it’s not known that the bbq sauce is not offered on the sides just in case. They also offer nice portions
Ordered chopped beef sandwich with fries curbside. Food was hot and fresh! Soft bun tangy bbq sauce and the fries were delicious!
I’ve eaten here only once, but had done a few deliveries. The employees here are so chill, and funny. Super kind and helpful, and these days that’s tough to come by in customer/food service.

I went there for my birthday as well before spotlight karaoke dinner was delicious for about 12 of us there it was absolutely delicious and awesome we had a great time
The chopped Beef plate was soaked in sauce but good quality. Sides are good size and priced, OK Service is good and pleasant.

Fantastic! I only had a few minutes for lunch. The only wait was for the fries, which were perfect. The chopped beef sandwich was very good, too, even though it was a little saucier than I like but that's what napkins are for. Fortunately, their sauce is better than most BBQ joints - not too sweet.
With so many BBQ options around, it took me a number of years to visit Old Hickory. The location doesn't do it many favors, BUT I am happy I did find my way in. It is now my everyday BBQ spot. There is certainly better BBQ in high end spots, but Old Hickory delivers good BBQ at a good price...I j
Should be 5 stars. Been going here for a decade, but recently they changed the source of their catfish filets. Too thin and narrow now. Comes out severely overcooked and unedible. Will try again and report back.
Very friendly service, and food, was very affordable, taste great. Will return, but they have other locations too.
Lunch was great good old fashioned BBQ. Only thing we didn't like were the baked beans. Taste more like chili than baked beans. 😋
I ordered catering from this restaurant. And Lupita was an extra special help. SHE gave me a great package and even delivered and set up the food. Everybody loved it, the flavor was amazing and what a great price for what we got!
Great BBQ, potato salad, fried okra. Our favorite is the loaded baked potato with chopped bbq and sauce…..delicious!
Wonderful BBQ. Been coming to this location over 15yrs. My favorite is the slice brisket potato. There pork riblets are a hidden gem. A must visit if you are in the Meyerland area. The staff is very courteous and helpful.
This place has been here since the 1960s and the food is always consistent and well priced. If you want good Texas barbecue this is the place.
