Food was amazing. I had the boudin kolache and a blue lemonade. It was ALL CAPS DELICIOUS 😋. I knew I was about to get great service because when I walked in everyone was smiling.
This is a great spot with lots of character and you get to write on the walls. Grab your friends or your family and swing by.
The menu is wonderful, there is literally something on the menu for everyone, including vegans, dairy free options, kid friendly options, and caffeine free options. The food options are phenomenal and the prices are very fair. I cannot wait to return!
Lovely lovely place! Great ambience!
It’s black owned and family owned and run. The owner makes the coffee and cooks herself. Wish I lived closer and could come by more often to enjoy this vibe!
I had a 48th Birthday on 12-07-2021. And I have been treating myself to a Different Black 🖤 Owned eatery everyday. This spot has a Great tasting breakfast sandwich..you go up to the side window to order. And the young lady was kind enough to bring it to me outside.
I asked her what would she suggest for the breakfast sandwich and she said the Cajun Turkey with Havarti Cheese. It was very good. I Love the fact that this is Black 🖤 Owned...keep up the great work and stay strong..❤️💚🖤✊🏾💪🏾👍🏾
I have been eyeing this place for a couple months since hearing about it and I finally got the opportunity to stop by. I ordered the lazy daze (I think that’s it) with almond milk. The espresso was smooth and the drink was really good (don’t rush to sip it’s piping hot!) my daughter got the hot chocolate which was rich and creamy. The breakfast sandwich did seem a little pricey to me but after 1 bite it was totally worth it. I’ll definitely be back to try more menu items as everything looked good. The only downside is the patio was wet and the inside wasn’t open for dine in but we enjoyed it in the parking lot. Also the cronut is good, but I’d recommend asking if it can be served warm.
I’ve seen multiple people leave negative comments lately (I understand to some extent) along with harsh responses from the owner (understandable as well). I live in the area and really enjoy this establishment so I figured why not share my experience with a few suggestions vs straight bashing. 1. I love their chicken sausage croissant! It’s been out a couple of times but they made up by giving me a discount the next time I came by! Nice touch!
2. The lady at the window is always nice. Can tell she’s very busy but always kind to me.
Here are my suggestions (coming from a place of love because I hate to see these harsh comments):
Prior to the plumbing situation I’ve visited during business hrs on the week just to find out the restaurant was closed. I understand waiting on Google to update but I highly recommend utilizing your IG page for updates. This way you can instantly communicate changes since you’re dealing with a rapidly changing situation and your customers can know without actually going to the restaurant (gas is too high! Lol). I also suggest posting multiple signs with your updated hours specifically one right next to your normal hours. I know you’ve mentioned that you don’t take phone orders. However, being able to contact you is pretty important. What if my order was incorrect? What if I want to make sure my fave item is in stock before leaving home? Just a thought.
I’m not an owner but I’ve been a restaurant goer for a few decades now lol so I think I can offer some good feedback. Feel free contact me if you have any comments or concerns! I really enjoy this place and I want everyone else to enjoy it too!
I really enjoyed the service and atmosphere here. The woman who first took my order remembered my name and was very friendly. She saw me eye-ing a table in the corner that had not been bussed yet and immediately let me know she would be right there to clear it for me which was really nice.
The egg, bacon & cheese breakfast sandwich I had was really yummy. As for the Vanilla latte I first ordered, it was too sweet for me. I think if I had ordered an extra Espresso shot as I usually do, it would have been much better. I could tell there was a little too much vanilla in it.
The Wifi worked really well. I spent a good 2 hours here and had no problems at all with it.
There was a lot of seating inside with a lot of cable outlets which was good. There was also an outside seating area on a deck which was a nice option to have, even though it is way too hot & humid right now to enjoy outdoor working. My only complaint about the inside seating was it was a little bit crammed.
I'm giving 4 stars only because it was fairly expensive. My vanilla latte & breakfast sandwich was already wracked up to $19.00. Yet still, I will be back to enjoy the easy-going atmosphere with good workspace and service.
Soooo, the breakfast is 💣 at this Female, Black Owned coffee house in Third Ward Houston, Texas! My daughter got the breakfast croissant and it is AMAZING! Never had garlic butter on a breakfast sandwich, but now I won't be able to eat one without it! Lol, and the bacon came from GOD himself bc it was divine. I had the Lake Charles roll and my favorite part was the boudain. The customer service is A1 as well, made me feel so welcome. Please go support her! We will mosdef be back!
This place is AMAZING!! You’re greeted with a warm and friendly staff. The art everywhere is beautiful. The Kappa Red Tea is so delicious!! The croissants are so flaky and that cronut is heavenly. This is definitely my new breakfast spot.
This is an amazing little spot. I highly suggest you come here if you need a comfortable place to sit and get work done or have a quiet business meeting. The prices are average or less than Starbucks and it’s one of the best coffee drinks I have had. I’ve been living here for 20 years and just heard about this place. I highly recommend it to you and anyone else you may know. The Wi-Fi password is happythursday
A comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. At my request, the waitress chose my meal. The breakfast sausage croissant had a unique flavor that was superb. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend

I really enjoyed my visit to this coffee shop. The owner is very sweet and friendly and her daughter (I presume) is a sweetheart.
The food and coffee were great. I wish it were open a bit later but other than that great place to go.
Nice coffee shop! The coffee was AMAZiNG!
This place was phenomenal! Todd was truly amazing and very welcoming. I am from out of town and he gave me a number of suggestions and reassured me that I’d have a good time. The breakfast croissant was out of this world and let’s not forget the homemade hot chocolate! 10/10 for sure.
This place is like Harlem Roaring 20's black, great customer service, great atmosphere, my brain is starting to wrinkle. Loveeeeee the art, the wall on the right as you walk in just puts me at ease. There use of tech is darling. It's like it's there, but you don't see it. Love it.
Great service here! The lady who took our order was so sweet and lovely and genuine. She definitely made my morning and her bright personality is greatly appreciated. I got the rose water latte with oat milk. Not too sweet and I enjoyed it. I also got the sausage croissant which was a little too greasy, but of course it would be. It was also enjoyable, but a bit pricey ($10 for the sandwich) Cute place :)
Happened to stop in here when a customer got seriously out of hand and yelled at the folks on the register. Customer was completely in the wrong and the owner got involved to defend (not physically) her staff while kicking out the rude customer.
Overheard the customer say that they were going to leave a bad review so I wanted to make sure I leave a good one.
This was place was great. The atmosphere (aside from the terrible customer) was lovely and I especially liked all of the outdoor seating. Our coffee was tasty and we would love to come back and try the food!
I came here last year on business and decided to try this spot and it was such a great experience I decided to make it my spot for breakfast each time I come. My wife spotted some reviews that imo are inconsiderate of how small businesses function. Folks must be the same type to complain about the pain that comes from working out. You can’t have one without the other just like you can’t eat your cake and have it too. Small business means small problems are bigger. I understand that but some would rather disrespect. I came once and it was too packed for me to wait in line. What I do? I came back when it wasn’t. And I fell in love. It’s 2am and I’m going tomorrow at 11am for 2 London fogs and a croissant sandwich of my choice, if it’s closed I’m checking again at another time. I go here for the flavor and quality of the product they serve. When I want something a restaurant/caffe/bar doesn’t advertise or simply can’t provide, I make it happen for myself at home until that place handles their business or I get a better schedule set up. Some of these one star reviews just had me rolling my eyes and smh. See you guys soon. Drove 8hrs for this London Fog before and I did it again. FOR A REASON. Don’t fall for the hate, believe the hype. This place is worth it. Patience people. Peace.
