Hunan Bistro - Houston - Photo album

The Star ⭐️ review is missleading. This place deserves more than 4 stars. I saw this place as I looked up spicy food but saw they have less than 4 stars so I didn’t go. However, one of my Chinese friend takes me here and I loves their dishes. My friend said if a Chinese restaurant open for more than
I agree with majority of newest reviews: this places deserves way more than 3.9 stars. Food is very authentic, hunan style spicy. Service is fast, prices are fair.
I loved this place it’s so warm and the food it’s also amazing i don’t know the name of the girl who was taking care of us but i can say it was the best food i ever had, it was also affordable and with 50 buck 3 persons can eat and be full, so i really recommend this restaurant, this is what i ate a
I am not sure why this is rated low, the food was amazing. It had a great spice level, the flavors were incredible, and the selection was immense. Incredibly authentic and keeps me wanting to come back for more. I could see myself coming back.
Surprisingly, the "Flavored Egg w/ Eggplant 🍆 Salad" was the king of the table. Amazing.
Reasonable price💰, authentic taste👍,sufficient portion,exactly what i expected。
This is definitely a regular go-to spot for me when it comes down to craving hunan style food in the Chinatown area. It's a small restaurant and can get packed easily on the weekends. But during the weekdays, there's not much of a crowd, so you can occasionally enjoy a nice quiet dinner here. When i
Authentic, spicy, and flavorful. While the spicy level is very high, it doesn't take away from the great flavor of the food. Both the food and service were good. I definitely will go back to try other things on the menu. Recommend the Dry Pot dishes (the mushroom one is great and non-spicy) and othe
This restaurant has made me appreciate hunan cuisine. My husband and I love to come here, we have tried different things, and they have all been great. When we need to relax we come here and enjoy a meal and some hot tea.
Hands down the best Chinese food we've had in a long time
We wandered into this restaurant, hoping for the best and THE BEST we got. Honestly, the competition on this Bellaire strip is high. We got water beef, stir fried fish maw, veggie fry noodles and Kung Pao chicken. Every dish is the best version of that dish I ever had. Fyi the kung Pao chicken is mo
I had the Hunan Beef Rice Noodle for $9.99. It was good and spicy but the noodles were very oily. I’m suffering from sodium overload right now. Not a lot of beef, peanuts, or veggies. The only veggies were some chopped up green onions. Looks like a lot from the picture, but once you mix it up,
We ordered one too many dishes here, but left satisfied! We got cumin beef, hot boiling combo meat & veggie, hot & sour snail, ground pork with sour bean, and hot boiling fish fillet. The fillet dish was my favorite - not too salty/spicy. I also liked the sour bean w ground pork - I had never had so
The food is yummy here and it becomes my favorite Chinese restaurant!! I like their tofu and chicken. The tofu in Shredded Meat With Tofu is cooked in a way that makes the crispy taste first then it softs inside.
Dishes can be spicy, but it's that good kind of spice that you'll get cravings for in the middle of the week. My favorites here are the tofu and cumin lamb dishes. The menu has a picture for every dish, so there's no guesswork when you order.
Food was good!!! We ordered Cumin Lamb, Twice Cooked Pork, and the Hot Toffee Sweet Potatoes!!! Everything was yummy, but the pork was a bit hard & chewy (over cooked). The Hot Toffee Sweet Potatoes were WONDERFUL. I’ve been trying to find them and this place does them well! Crunchy on the outside &
What a menu to die for: I have ordered chef’s hand-cured pork with a selection of vegetables, preserved vegetable with thrice- cooked pork, finally spicy beef pot, certainly exceptional!
