BBQ is okay, they're best item on the menu is the fried corn nuggets, outside a Chinese Buffet these are the freshest nuggets I've ever had!

I had to try this place out today. I have passed it many times. It has been around for a while. The service was great. The owner greeted us and served us, Can't get better service than that. We didn't know what to try since it was our 1st time. They have lots to choose from on the menu but we were in the mood for a good spud. We both ordered the loaded baked potatoe with brisket on top. This spud did not disappoint. I have to say I actually liked the BBQ sauce and I usually don't like it. The brisket was moist and flavorful. I will definitely order that again. It was a good size potatoe(not the biggest I have had but certainly a good size and good). We also tried the homemade peach cobbler, it was tasty too.

The CAT FISH and Cole slaw are very good, you have to try it! The chopped beef was too greasy for my taste, I was not a fan of that! My husband goes there for lunch because it's near his job, and he loves the 2 meat plate. He usually gets sliced beef brisket and sausage or turkey. He loves it! The staff is all very nice and welcoming and accommodating. I bought the cat fish to take to work for lunch and I was able to eat 2 days from it because they gave me 4 big filled pieces. It was delicious and smelled great! My coworkers wanted some. 😆

I was on a short visit in Houston and stopped by Barney’s for lunch, prior to departure from IAH. The ribs and baked potato are outstanding, and the Pecan pie for dessert is hard to beat. This was my first visit and I’ll definitely return, and can only highly recommend this restaurant. No frills but great foods

Very good food! And they can definitely handle large to-go orders. Large portions. I recommend their two meat combo. Ribs & chopped brisket were on point to say the least.

Great food, friendly staff, highly recommended. Stuffed potatoes, chicken fried steak, burgers and brisket was very good!!!

Brisket and ribs with sauce on the side! Brisket has a nice texture, although a bit dry. The ribs were great, with a bit of BBQ sauce brushed on top, not mushy yet fall off the bone - one of the best ribs.

Damn I wish the portions were a bit BIGGER, that's all....overall food tastes great....1/4 pound a bit small!!lol...( guess I need to pay for more!) But overall pretty darn good ya'll....🤗

This place is a gem. Old school diner with a friendly family making all the great bbq. Has that old school feel. Brisket is outstanding and the smoked sausage is to die for. Sides are great and I lived the rice.. If you're in the area, this place is a try...

Went to this place ON A WHIM, and did they hit it out of the park!! Their BBQ sauce rocks as well as their brisket. That's how you tell the difference between BBQ joints, party people!!!
