I work nearby and was craving some Mexican food and they definitely delivered! Got the daily special of enchiladas with green sauce and charro beans. They have a small staff and work incredibly hard, loved it!
Great staff, good prices, and great food!! Can't wait to go back there again!!

I recently found Sol Cafe and my experience was absolutely magnificent. I did not even realize they were right there on Travis street. I always like to try new places so I stepped in. I was greeted upon entry and I informed the young lady I would need a few moments to review the menu. It didn't take long to find some spinach enchiladas that I wanted to try. They normally come with chicken, but I asked for just the spinach since I do not eat meat. The enchiladas come with two sides and I selected the rice and the salad. Unfortunately, I could not try the beans because of the meat. I also ordered an egg and potato breakfast taco (I missed breakfast). After I placed my order, I noticed that you can customize your breakfast taco to add items like spinach, so I'll be doing that the next time. It didn't take long before my order was ready. Let me tell you, everything was delicious. I don't know what they did to that rice, but it was phenomenal. I would order a pan of that rice just because. The spinach enchiladas were fantastic and the sauce was on point. I would have liked some more spinach to make it fuller since I removed the chicken. Perhaps I'll see if they'll substitute potatoes for the chicken the next time. The breakfast taco was more than adequate. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to add anything the next time because I don't think they'll be enough room. The customer service was excellent.
FYI: They are on a downtown schedule, so they're open Monday - Friday 6:30am - 1:30pm. If you do not work Downtown or do not work close to Sol, please plan on finding parking.
Limited food options near by, so this place is a gem! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The breakfast tacos are brilliant. Only issue is limited seating. Also not open late or weekends.
Looks like a good location and the food looks good. But the restaurant has strong odor for my liking.

Went here for the 1st time yesterday. Ordered fish tacos and they were great! Will definitely be back again!
We have a corporate order that is usually 1 to 2 dozen of bacon , egg and cheese tacos. They gave me the bacon separate in a container. We stopped going for several months. We decided to try them again, I explained the previous experiences to the staff and they went out of their way to ensure no matter what we ordered they labeled each bag and taco to ensure the order was correct. The breakfast tacos are great and a good value. I hope they keep up the good customer service.
I work in the building next door to the restaurant. My coworker and I go every morning for their breakfast tacos, which are huge and generously filled with ingredients. They are absolutely delicious! We often go for lunch as well and enjoy their daily specials which always have enough food for more than one person. I highly recommend this spot. They are so friendly and welcoming and we definitely make it a point to go more often now that covid is affecting so many businesses. Please be sure to show them your patronage!
Stopped by for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast tacos were delicious, had Nachos for lunch. Really large portion size even if you get a half order. The fajita was well seasoned but parts were dry and too chewy. The cheese was natcho cheese I was expecting more of a queso type situation. Overall I would go here again, the food was well seasoned and the staff was very friendly. Definitely give this place a chance.
The food is delicious. The staff is very friendly and quick. Clean and convenient place. I have had crispy tacos, beef fajita taco salad, chicken soup and huevos al gusto. Everything has been delicious and their specials are amazing. The specials come with chips, salsas, a drink and a good portion of food. You won't find another quick cafe like this anywhere closer. There's usually space for a quick bite. They offer sugar free sodas as well as tea and fountain drinks. Forget the overpriced food trucks...come visit this cafe for a quick delicious bite of Tex Mex and a friendly word for lunch and breakfast.
One of the few places downtown where you can get a taco salad, a good deal at $11 for lots of food. A broad selection of other choices, too, good for both eating in (counter service) and also carry-out. Good salsa, too.
Friendly staff. Food prepared fresh while you wait. Great breakfast tacos and lunch specials. Try the chicken soup with big chunks 9f chicken. Hint, you can get a half order.

I have only had the breakfast tacos. OMG the breakfast tacos are stuffed with goodness. Try it you will like it. Yum yum on the green sauce.
