So this review is special for me because I was having a difficult day. My husband has some cognitive issues and that day it was hectic and the restaurant was packed so it was hard to deal with making sure he was OK and the order was right. So when we ordered our food I had to step back and check on my husband who had started to have a mild episode of feeling displaced. All this to say the guys there we able to take my order and allow me to sit him down and even when he ordered chips he couldn't eat because they were to spicy, he was given a substitute and I thought that was so great and it also allowed me to focus on him and not feel overwhelmed by his stress from the side he chose. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and polite. Definitely recommend grabbing lunch here.

A pretty cheap, tasty, design-your-own sandwich place. Menu prices are ambiguous since, well, they're not posted anywhere. But overall was a decent brunch.

Wow. The sandwiches here are incredible. I love the cutesy little set up. You walk in, grab a clipboard with a brown bag. You fill it out with a marker, and then take it to the register for checkout. Highly recommended, especially if you're always going to the same place in Rice Village; change it up!

Sandwiches are incredible! So fresh and tasty and made to your liking. A quick in and out experience, but definitely a little bit pricey for a sandwich. Quality is worth it though! I will warn that they do put a LOT of sliced meat in the sandwich if you order that, so if you're not into that I'd recommend indicating a half portion of it. Please keep this place open!

I love Brown Bag Deli and this location in particular has an amazing staff, pleasant from beginning to end. The honey mustard at Brown Bag Deli is among the best anywhere and should be added to every sandwich.

Probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had, and the price isn’t bad either. My sandwich was pretty big and they didn’t skimp on the ingredients. I’ve been here a few times in the past and my experience was always great!

One of my favorite places for a sandwich. Egg salad on toasted jalapeno cheese bread is where it's at!! The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. The price is also very reasonable and portions are just right.

Literally the best sandwich I've ever had. The bread is a bit sweet and the sauce selection is outstanding. The only problem I have with this place is that they aren't open after 4pm -I'd be there way more often if so.

BBD is delicious! The wheat buns and deli maustard are the magic of the sandwiches. The lemonade is also magical. The only thing I don't like is that they close at 3pm, so make sure you plan ahead so you get there before it closes!
Toppings taste fresh and the meats a piled high, almost as high as the buns themselves.
Also, you can buy loafs of bread to take home, just ask!

There is not anything glitzy or glamorous about this place, but the sandwich was awesome! I highly recommend the jalapeño cheddar bread. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful and the sandwich makers did a great job. I agree that parking can be difficult. But for $13 for a combo - well worth it and I’m too full to eat my chips. I’m glad I randomly stopped by today!

We love this place! However, we have felt that for a while the service has not been that great, it hasn't been that clean, loud rap music, and the employees have been kind of rude. We went today and were genuinely blown away at the improvement. Employees we nice and fast. Everything was very clean and in it's place. And lastly, as always the food was great. Our kids love this place and so do we. Please keep up the great work!

I breezed in here on a cold day looking for a hot sandwich and a hot cup of soup. The shop is conveniently located off Kirby in west u. The staff was friendly, the dining room seemed very clean even though I got my order to go. I asked what there soup for the day and it was a baked potato soup. I was hesitant to order it since I was hoping it wasn’t a thick soup but the cashier offered me to try it. It was surprisingly delicious! He recommended I get a grilled cheese with the soup. My grilled cheese didn’t really have that “yum” factor, the bread was good but probably not enough cheese. Id definitely recommend the soup since it was amazing! But I’d come back and try a different sandwich on another day.

I can’t speak positively enough about this sandwich shop. Anytime I want to spoil myself this is where I go. The staff is very welcoming, and the sandwich selections are amazing. They use Boar’s Head meat and quality ingredients. Their chocolate chip cookies haunt my dreams and the fresh lemonade is the perfect way to wash it all down.

I ate my delicious egg salad on jalapeno bread sandwich so quickly, that I didn't get a chance to take a picture. Service is always nice, and the restaurant is always clean. Only problem is parking, but they're doing renovations in the area and that's not brown bags fault. I'm a big fan!
