Excellent food and service. The combination fajita plate was our favorite, the beef were so tender and the fish were fresh and tasty.

I love this place. My first time in Houston and my friend did bring me here. I love this place I tried the Carnitas tacos and they have Shiner bock my favorite American beer. Moises gave us the best attention. Definitely I’ll be back in my next trip to H-town.

This place is so good. The staff is very nice and jump to fix even the tiniest of mistakes. The food is very fresh and perfectly prepared. The El Bryon plate is amazing. I also really enjoyed my top shelf margarita. Prices are around $11 per plate and a large top shelf margarita is $10

Good food & good drinks! Staff was very attentive.

My first margarita on the rocks was an absolute disappointment. After that the other Drinks we okay but the bartender came to our table and apologized for the delay of our drinks. He mentioned the drink menu had changed and gave us a gift card for the inconvenience.

We had a positive experience there. We were on our way when I was reading some negative reviews so I was a little worried but I'm glad we gave it a chance. It was busy but we were seated immediately (Saturday night). We were greeted by our waiter who was thoughtful enough to start us off with water and chips and salsa. We have a family of five (3 young kids) so time is important. We didn't wait to order & we didn't wait long for our food. Our drinks were refilled and we didn't wait for our to-go box and tab. Fajitas were good too. Good experience. We will come back.

Daisy waited on us tonight and was very attentive. The food was delicious we had the fajitas and the dish was flavorful and one of the best fajitas we’ve had in a long time. The manager also gave us a tour of the event space on the 7th level which has great views of the downtown skyline and even west towards the Galleria. It is wonderful space for any special occasion. We are definitely coming back for dinner and will recommend it to our Heights neighbors to check this new place out. new place out.

Food was amazing. I recommend one of their grilled platters, comes out on a sizzling platter. Service was really great, my servers have all been really nice and Hugo is an awesome bar tender. Great place for lunch and dinner, particularly on Mondays and Tuesdays (all day happy hour!) And live music on Tuesdays!

Nice patio! Our waitress Violet was very attentive. The food was delicious and fresh! The drinks were on point as well. We were able to watch the playoffs on the televisions placed out on the patio. Please visit! Very nice and spacious patio!!

This place is very good....keep in mind that this is a new restaurant and IS NOT the old Los Cucos chain which had occupied the same space (and which, by the way, had turned into a place with mediocre food and even worse service) The green tomatillo enchiladas (verdes) are excellent, and they offer black beans and a white cilantro rice. The salsa with the chips is quite good as well. Price point (esp. at lunch) is competitive for the quality. Very attentive (but not pushy) staff as well. Would recommend.

This place has been updated from Los Cucos. The bar is outstanding and the bartender Moises can make great recommendations for drinks or food! We love hanging out after work and for game days! The food and atmosphere are great! Can't wait for cooler weather so we can enjoy the patio and watch the game outside on the TV!

The reviews I read here about in-restaurant dining are dead on...I have no experience with deliver or takeout. The food is usually quite good (thank goodness the green salsa debacle only lasted a couple of weeks, but it was in at least 2 Los Cucos locations, so not their fault. But the service is very spotty and usually not as good as you would expect. But the margaritas and green salsa cannot be beat. We really enjoy sitting out on the patio, but the service is worse out there. Give it a try and if it is not up to par, let the manager know before you leave. They know how to do it right, they have done it before. So the more people who complain, the better. The 4 stars are for the margaritas, green salsa, and food, not for service.

This place is GREAT!!! The food is fantastic the prices are more than reasonable considering the portion size. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. All around a great time. Well worth the time to go try them out. Only downside is that parking is tight. But go for lunch or early dinner and you should be able to get a parking spot with little problem. BTW.... the margaritas are really good at a good price.

Love this location! The staff is the best. The best Los Cucos staff without a doubt. Their customer service is wonderful and the food is always delicious. One menu item I wish would make an appearance is the fajitas Diablo! I've been eating at Los Cucos since I was a kid in Katy. I miss that item!

I've been sitting, waiting for 45 minutes to eat. It took the waiter over 20 minutes to take my order, and it's been 25 minutes since the order was taken. No food, and the place isn't busy, at all. I'm almost afraid to eat here now. So I've decided to leave, hungry. The waiter knew my party was not happy, and a manager did not come to our table to apologize. Very frustrated, will not return.

The best place for a margarita and food and service is always good. Your bartender and server Hugo is great too!

We had a Great time, delicious food and tasty Margaritas! Doggies came with to enjoy the patio...which is always very windy...tall plants needed!!! Our server was very accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back.

I love this restaurant. My boyfriend, roommate and I joke that we keep this place in business because we come here so often. The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the live music on Friday’s. Friday’s are the day I want to drink. I teach all week and just like to relax on a Friday evening with a margarita. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to relax with the volume of the music. Every time I come here on Friday I leave with my voice scratchy from screaming at people literally a foot away from me. I am only 25 and I don’t even enjoy it. Don’t get me wrong, the band is good, but it’s not enjoyable at the volume we are forced to listen to it at.

Just ate there for the first time this afternoon and even at 3:30pm the food was prepared fresh and it was delicious. The frozen jalapeño strawberry margarita was one of the very best margaritas I've ever had. The deep fried avocado was something new that I hadn't had before and it was to die for. Darren, your waiter, was an excellent host and I can't wait to come back!

Not a favorite. We were told the large margaritas were 4.99 hh price. I ordered the mango and charged 1.00 for the flavor. WTH then bill comes the drink was 7.00. So lunch for me yesterday was 25.00. There in a group to enjoy and I won’t go back.

We were in the Heights area on Dec 17, 2017. We had the best time!! Food was good!! A new item I tried was good except... Well, it was a fried ball that had avocado 🥑 in it with 4 or 5 shrimp 🍤 in it but 2 of the shrimp still had the shell on them?! Rice was good as well as the Veggie soup that came with it! Great waiter!! We will return again!🎄

It seems to be tucked away in the Heights. Didn't wait too long for a table. Food was great! Seemed a little short handed on staff for Father's Day but overall it was good.

If you're going for margaritas only: 5 stars. My overall opinion used to be 5 stars...but read why not in the past year. For the staff, still 5 stars. They are amazing. Sadly, other things bring the restaurant down to a 2 star. I've been loyal to Los Cucos for about 4 years now. Westheimer location, the now-closed Washington, and the current heights location. Supportive in the days with few staff members where I saw the managers and waiters themselves had to pitch in and stir some food in the kitchen; their hard work is superb. Anyways, thanks for the memories - I'm not going back at least until things get better. Why? Well...the portions have historically gotten smaller and smaller. Last time I was there, the mixed fajitas had 8 strips that put together would comprare to 2 maybe 3 of the former size strips, the onions and peppers are scarce. A few visits ago I ordered fajitas for 2, and brought this to the attention of the waiter, so he brought another few strips which was very kind of him. But at this point, I'm over it - can't go there and pretty much beg for "extra" strips. I hope that these 2 stars bring awareness to the current management to make things better.

Excellent bar service! Cactus Rita's are the best. We have been there 3 times. I wish they would open one in Spring. We need a top shelf place like this in Spring.
Rob Bradford
The food was good and has been for our 3 visits. I will agree that not much staff on our visits. We did wait a good deal of time to get the check.
Isabel Blanco
Bad service we waited for about 20 min for someone to come and take our order and no one did how sad is that . And that's to say that they hardly had any customers there , the waiters were just walking back and forth . So we walked out and went to Spanish flower and had the best service and great food .

Just awful! Had to ask the server for iced tea three times before I was served. There were long periods when there was not one employee in the dining room. Witnessed multiple guests trying to track down their server to pay the check. Manager was slumped over host stand texting.

First visit to this location. Excellent service. Atmosphere was great. Love the food. Have eaten at several of their other locations and as with the other locations was not disappointed

Really wish I didn't have to give this place any stars. I am not the person to complain about food but I received my order and it was wrong! Called the manager, Luis Acosta and he was so rude and told me "If you had ordered properly, you would have received the correct meal". So I informed him that he would receive a bad review and his words were "Well we have a right to respond there too, so go ahead" and he hung up in my face. I will never spend another dime with thos location. Wow!!!

Great food and great service. Love, love the fried avocado with chicken or beef.

Overall, really awful food. The "Signature" seems to have degraded to the same bad menu as all of the other Los Cucos'. The complementary chips and salsa are reasonably ok, with the green salsa is actually not bad. The chile con Queso is horrible "soup" served with inedible flour tortilla chips. The fajita enchiladas and fajita tacos are NOT good. The bad carne guisada is does not resemble a typical carne guisada in any way, shape, fashion or taste. The early choice of four different bean choices has given way to only bland refried pintos. The only item that actually stood out was the Negra Modelo on tap. One would have to be cuckoo to return to any Los Cucos.
