The burgers were great! The atmosphere is calm. The owner was very nice and catered to every need or detail on our order. Offers tap/Apple Pay. I had the 1/3 lb cheeseburger. Buns are toasted and add extra flavor!

Overall very quaint hole in the wall burger joint. Feels like a place you'd run into on a road trip, but in downtown Houston.
The burger was decent and for a really reasonable price for downtown. You should check this place out, especially if you work downtown!

Nestled under the walkway between Hyatt and an office building, this local dining spot has been offering fast food lunch options to hungry diners in downtown Houston for several years. The menu is straight forward with a variety of hamburgers, sandwiches, and good ol’ fashioned baskets. The service is quick and the burgers tasty. If you are in downtown and looking for a fast-food option with a quick bite to eat, wimpy’s is a good place to have lunch.

What a slamin' burger. I thought triple meat the amount of cheese. I was so excited and surprised I was wtong... triple MEAT!!! Delicious and juicy burger that deserves a regular visit. The owner was so helpful and had a good laugh about my mistake, but was truly happy to be there after so many years.

It was my first time going here and I absolutely loved it! Instead of getting a burger, I got a philly cheese steak sandwich and it was delicious. I was worried I wouldn't like it because I did read a comment saying it was gross but I tried it anyways. I'm not gonna lie, it wasn't the best I have tried. But it was more than decent, it was soooo good! As I took a bite most of the meat fell off the sandwich but that's how you know it's good. The flavor was almost perfect. But it did not disappoint. The fries weren't bad. The service here is excellent! You can put your tray away or the owner guy will pick it up for you if he sees you're done with it. He's really friendly and provided a positive experience. I will be returning here again!

1st visit & LOVED it! The owner was so nice & hospitable. The burgers are so huge as well as a serving of fries, that myself & guest had to take half of everything home. And it was so darn GOOD! If you're staying at the Hyatt, this joint is directly across the street.

Look, I’ve had better and fancier burgers in my life. But this is the only burger I actively have a craving for, and was the only thing I missed while working from home for the past year. This is the highest and best form for a homestyle burger joint. You won’t be disappointed.

Great downtown burger spot! $10 for a huge cheeseburger, fries, drink. Great portions, tasty burger, and hot fluffy french fries. Friendly staff. I intend to return again soon!

Great service and burger was good. Multiple types of ketchup. However they close very early so lunch is best option to catch them open and no you cannot pay them on Tuesday for a hamburger today lol.

The best burgers in Houston, hands down. Is my go to place for burgers when at the office. If you make it to downtown and are hungry, give Wimpy's a chance, won't go wrong. They have a great selection of burgers and sides.
