Wow! After coming here at least 15 times, today I decided to finally leave a review and I'm appalled at all of the 1 stars! I've come here so many times and NEVER had a bad experience. The only time I was even SLIGHTLY disappointed was on my first visit when I found out they didnt have Chile con queso.... And since then they have put it on the menu and it's amazing! Veronica is always taking great care of us and doesn't miss a beat. It's usually dead which is disappointing because it's so great. But I've seen it fill up and Miss Veronica handles it so well!! Very attentive and communicates greatly with my boyfriend and I. Anyway..: let me cut to the chase... The food: 5 stars. The service: 5 stars. The drinks: 5 stars. I recommend the mojito, tacos de bistec and the Mississippi mud pie. Can't go wrong there!!
Excelente comida, los tacos de trompo son una bomba y el servicio es genial. La mesera venezolana es la mejor. 100% recomendado. Tengan paciencia con el personal los fines de semana que siempre está full. Ellos hacen su mejor esfuerzo en atenderlos bien a todos!!
Viene ayer a comer con mi familia y nos encanto. El servicio excelente y la comida súper. Lo recomiendo.

Been going here since I was a kid, been to all of the chain locations, this one is my favorite! They normally don't speak any English but food always come sout fast and fresh! Love the orange juice and sodas :) trompo is the specialty, always get it
This place had great food I tried the nachos which came with 2 different meats and lots of cheese 👌amazing! We also tried the 5 chicken tacos which were delicious. For dessert we tried the flan it was just on point. The place was really nice and clean. The waitress kept coming to check on us often. Oh yea and instead of chips and salsa they give you frijoles charros.
Food is really good but. Prices are reasonable. But beware they include 18% gratuity in your bill when they give your total to pay, which makes think you still have to add the tip. Which we did so was I leaving a 33% total tip. Once in the car I checked my bill and realized what they did. I went back and they let me scratch the extra tip I wrote in the credit card pmt.
I regularly went here when my job was closer and I still try to make trips out there for some great comfort food. The staff has always been welcoming and never made me or my family feel out of place. The food is always been of amazing quality that now I have family in Katy that visits me so we can go here. Please be sure to pickup a plate or two especially during these days. Now more than ever we could use some good comfort food.
The staff welcomes you the minute you walk in. The food is fresh, good and authentic. The portions are generous. I don't mind the 25 min drive ...its worth it!. P.S. This is a very close authentic Mexican restaurant, don't expect chips and salsa....that is Tex-Mex. Here you will receive a nice cup of carro beans.
Great food... waitress not very attentive... I was gonna order some food to go and well the waitress never came back to check on us until I called her for the bill... ohh well.

There are times when the music is a tad too loud to carry a conversation, though. It won't stop me from going back.
Had a great dinner with my family at Tacos del Julio #3, tacos de trompo were amazing totally recommend
These are some good tacos and their charro beans are really good. Their beef fajita is very soft. Will definitely come again.

Tacos del Julio and Tostada Regia are about the only places in Houston to get the closest thing to "Legit" Mexican food. The food here has always been great however service was really bad in the past. We kept coming because food was amazing....I must admit, service has improved but still lacking a bit....
I once got in a fight with a waitress there because she did not understand the difference between guacamole and "Salsa de Aguacate " even though their menu clearly showed the difference. She argue with me that it was the same thing...SMH

Amazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great, waitress Stephanie was so friendly and kind. The food can't get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food. Recommend the gringas and nachos are a must. Ambiance is good.
This place is delicious! It's also quite cheap for a Mexican restaurant. I highly recommend the chicken Tacos and potato Tacos.
However, the staff unfortunately seem to have a bit of a problem with English, and i have to order in Spanish for the people who are eating with me
Food was amazing! I got the steak tacos, flan and a coke for 20$! The flan was homemade an amazing!!
