Taj Indian Restaurant - Houston - Photo album

Went at 8PM on a Monday so place was largely empty. Wait staff was friendly (i.e. no attitude from them because it was nearing closing). Older gentleman was my waiter. He suggested the non-vegetarian Thali combination platter after I advised it was my first visit and requested a suggestion. For jus
😲 omg this was the most delightful delicious exciting yummy food in my tummy. You have to visit here vegetarians, will go wild for egg plant called Aloo Baigawilln. Yummy and all you can eat for to say.
Exceeded my expectations. Tried the buffet for lunch, mostly normal Indian buffet, but a couple items I've never tasted before. Very good and spicy. Heat levels were higher than other similar buffets, which is a plus for me. Service was quick and they also can make garlic naan which is one of my
The best indian food I have ever had-hands down! Service was quick and friendly, went for the lunch buffet and tried everything, each new thing better than the last thing I tried. Nothing overly spiced. Went on July 4th during the light flooding around town so it was empty when we got there but peop
Love the bread as appetizer from the back of the menu. We ordered the Non-vegetarian Combination dinner. It was pretty good but the red meats were too salty. Overall, we had fun trying Indian food for the first time. We will be back to try the lamb. Thank you!
Hands down awesome experience! It was our first time at this restaurant and we will definitely visit again sometime soon. The familial service was impeccable and the food was definitely not a let down. Very clean and pleasant environment. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Food and atmosphere were amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something different. The buffet has something everybody can enjoy no matter what kind of flavor you're looking for.
first Indian place I've tried since moving to Texas, disappointed at how deserted the place was for how good the food was. Star of the show for their buffet is the Rogen Gosh, which they prepare similar to a vindaloo with potatoes and mutton. tender and delicious
The Garlic Nan is PHENOMENAL! I don't care for some of the food choices that they offer because I'm not big on Indian food. Some of the better selections I did enjoy. It's a very nice restaurant.
This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants around the area. Food tastes great, ambiance is awesome and service is very good. We had a lunch buffet and it was worth the money.
One of my favorite restaurants! My husband's family is from Trinidad, so we eat a lot of curry and daal. Taj has some of the best Indian fare around I love coming in and dining! They always have very nice mucic on the TV and the staff is very friendly! Love this place!
I love this place! Friendly service and the food is always to my liking. I make a point to visit everytime I'm on the north side skating at the park or playing roller derby.. never once have they made a face at my attire or companions, nothin' but smiles n curry..how I like it!
