First time visiting, and looks the place have many regular customers.
The menu is huge!, my original idea was to order a sandwich. But the person in front of me had a baked potato and it was love at first sight.

Good selection and big portions. Pulled pork sandwich and the fries were good. Friendly staff and ample parking.
Side items are really good, cole slaw and Mac n cheese. They were out of dirty rice, in the middle of the day. Brisket was dry and over sauced.
This was one of the best burgers I’ve had here in Houston. Fried okra was delicious as well.
Had been curious about this place but it was usually after their opening hours when we drove by then. Finally made it and got a two-meat plate with ribs and brisket, and potato salad and green beans; food was very good, and I liked their barbeque sauce. Sides also were tasty. Great comfort food!
This place serves some of the best BBQ in Houston it is of the Beltway off of I-10 bit the food is very delicious and the employees are so nice.
Really good flavor in the sauce. Got sausage, turkey, rice and bbq beans. Everything was very good. Restaurant is very clean/upkept.
They run out of the specials all the time. Says it closes at 3. When I got there at 2:30 they were already closing up. Food ok. Very pricey. Baked potato hard and dry. The meat specials are good. They give you a lot of food.
My new lunch spot! Cool nature themed decor, rustic look. Bar B Que is sweet and tangy. Breakfast tacos are fantastic! Had a slight confusion at the register, the manager was quick to remedy the situation with a smile. Good food. Good people, what more could you ask for?
Lunch BBQ as early as 10am-10:30am. Chopped Baker = OK. Chopped Sandwhich = Meh to OK. Must add fixings from Self Serve Bar! BBQ sauce OK. Carrot Cake = Good!
The best Bar B Q in Houston. Great quality meat every time. Best sauce in town. Food always cooked good and fresh. I tell all my friends to go there. Friendly staff. We love it 😋
Pookie's Bar•B•Q has been around since 1968 off of Sam Houston Beltway. 1984 won best award "Quarter All Suite Hotel Award." A little pricey but huge servings . Pookie's is known for their smoked brisket . I enjoyed a chopped Beef Potato 😁Very friendly staff;Edwardo,Santiago, Nellie, and Maria . 👍T
The bbq chicken was really good.The seasonings tasted all through the meat. The coleslaw was very good. It was fresh and not all runny. The potato salad was really good also. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.
The place was clean, the staff was friendly. I just feel the food isn't out of this world. It is good though and definitely will return when I'm hungry.
