Review Luce Ave Coffee Roasters - Houston

G Y (HabibiEats)
Great coffee spot. We went 2 days in a row during a quick Houston trip. Lattes were great, espressos pulled on point. We opted for 2 pumps of sweetness instead of their standard 3. Gave 4/5 stars for atmosphere bc of cleanliness, tables and chairs were dirty, but obviously from the high traffic. We decided to take our drinks to go. Match powder is pre-sweetened, can’t get this Black Forest with less sweetness. But! Still worth a sip. Will come back.

I recently tried a fascinating blend of coconut and pandan flavours coffee in a delightful beverage called Island Latte. It is on the sweeter side though. The Spanish latte also seem interesting, would give it a try on my next visit. The barista was nice and gave some recommendation as a first timer. It was a unique and enjoyable combination. It is not a very big cafe but offers a cozy atmosphere with the option of outdoor seating.

Love this coffee shop, And how the barista’s always measure the exact amount of milk to ensure the same balance between espresso and milk in their latte’s! My favorite is the Spanish latte! Seating is limited & only one functioning bathroom fyi!

So far my favorite coffee place in Houston, the latte tasted delicious but not overly sweet. The guy recommended I get the tropical latte and I’m glad I listened, a unique coconut flavor! Also the almond croissant was delicious maybe a little too sweet but I would still get it again!

I haven’t even left the establishment yet and I feel inclined to write this review. Nice little spot here, and the gentleman who works openings Thursday mornings was extremely pleasant and helpful and efficient. You can definitely study here because the volume level of the music is conducive to it, and not blasting, like in a nightclub or something. That was quite refreshing.

Hands down my favorite coffee in this area. It's great to be able to stop here on my way to work. Especially if I have time to sit and enjoy their craft in store so I can appreciate their artistry in a proper cup. I always feel bad with to go orders that cover up the art and reduce the texture of the foam and espresso itself. Their roast is my favorite. And I have not had a bad pull from these talented and welcoming baristas. Always a joy to come here.

I’m definitely a fan of this coffee shop. They have the Lofi tunes playing, colorful map art on the wall which gives it an artsy feel, lovely aroma, & intimate atmosphere. I came specifically for the charcoal infused matcha aka “Black Forest” & this might just be my favorite coffee spot ever (sorry Toute!) They have lots of food options and baked goods (didn’t see any vegan treats) The baristas are super efficient and kind, greeting you as soon as you walk in. I could see myself coming here for a workspace in the middle of the week. The parking is free but in a strip center by one of the busy crawfish spots and some bars so be prepared for the craziness to find a spot. Right next to the Edwards Theater off Wesleyan so perfect for before/after a movie. They also have really nice plants/greenery!!

I always enjoy a good cup of coffee so I decided to stop by Sunday late afternoon for a drink. Upon entering the complex they are in I found it extremely difficult to find parking, I had to circle the entire complex before deciding to street park so take that into consideration if you are in a hurry. Their menu selection is very solid. They have activated charcoal coffee drinks which was new to me. Two drinks were ordered: Spanish latte iced - very sweet and bold, similar to a Vietnamese coffee. If you are not a sweet drinker but need a punch ask for half the sweetness. Very tasty and smooth. Montblanc iced - the charcoal taste is definitely there but very subtle. It has light sweetness and doesn’t taste much like coffee but it’s something I would be able to enjoy any day throughout the year. It’s pretty fun to swirl the drink once you get it. Overall the atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. I can see myself spending time here browsing the web or working. I was unable to try any food at this time, it seemed like there wasn’t any food items left for purchase which is a bummer but I’m happy they sell out. The wait for our drinks was about 5-7 minutes from ordering and the total spend was $16.50 after tip. The reason for the star docket was due to parking. I would consider visiting again in the future at an earlier time to try their breakfast items and food.

My husband and I came to this location and it did not disappoint! It’s a really small coffee shop. The employees are nice. I got a bacon, egg and cheese taco and it was good. Salsa was also really good, not spicy, but good flavor. My husband got the bacon, egg, and cheese on a danish and that was also really yummy! We also shared and apple danish which was yummy! I for the montblac and he got the black Forrest and it was also delicious!!

I love this place, the store is not big, but enough for weekday, and most importantly there’re plenty of sockets to charge your laptop/mobile, fast and stable WiFi connection, also the food are delicious 👍 On the other hand, the parking is great, easy to find and plenty of space, also parking are free. There’s also a Costco across the street, I love this space sooooooooooooo much!👍

Great coffee, service, atmosphere. The biggest con is that their WiFi service appears to be blocking some sites. Reddit, Walmart, etc. would not load. Probably router issues?

Tasty coffee and friendly staff. We stopped by randomly trying to find a new coffee spot for us. Hubby ordered the cortado and enjoyed it. I ordered the iced Island Latte and really liked it! Usually not a fan of coconut milk in my coffee but this was very good. Very creamy! Only thing, wish they had dairy-free pastries. Will definitely be back to try something new!

Luce Coffee Roasters is a haven for coffee lovers. Their brews are nothing short of delightful, offering rich and nuanced flavors that set them apart. The chai latte is a standout, achieving the perfect balance of spices and texture. Although it is an incredibly small space, the inviting atmosphere and knowledgeable staff make it clear – Luce Coffee Roasters is a must-visit for an elevated coffee experience.

This place is honestly one of my favorite coffee shops to come to! The parking is in a shopping/eating strip, so sometimes it might be hard to find parking. The coffee shop itself is a little small, but there are always empty seats you can sit at if you want to sit there. the early grey tea latte is my favorite! their chai tea is also good. You need to ask for a key to use the bathroom, and ask for the wifi password. the wifi is good and this place overall is the best! love Luce coffee. The service and atmosphere are very nice!

This place has the BEST Matcha lattes you will ever have. It’s already sweeten so you don’t need to doctor it up. The matcha was so smooth, I could’ve literally drank it in 5mins. Instead I needed to savor the flavor and sip slow. In this picture I have the Black Forest Latte which is Matcha and Charcoal. Absolutely delicious and addictive. Please try this, you won’t be disappointed!!

Honest speciality coffee house which did not disappoint a specialty coffee loyalist.

The cortado here is light bodied, somewhat acidic and bright, and a little tangy. It was served nice and hot (a problem I encounter at many other places) and had the classic look which is always a nice touch. The place was clean and felt like a nice place to talk or study, though it might feel a bit cramped simply because of the room shape. The baristas were very friendly, willing to answer questions about their different drinks and about the beans. I really appreciated their enthusiasm. Though the coffee did not have my preferred flavor profile, I still enjoyed it as well as my experience overall. I would definitely come here again!

Great coffee shop of Richmond and Wesleyan. They roast their own coffee. Great service with a friendly staff. My first visit was a pleasant one. I ordered a flat white. It was a tad bit stronger than I like but after a little sugar it was all good.
